Two of ryans guys anybody else have a really good feeling we will get them

We need to at least get one. We haven't made a blockbuster free agent acquisition in ages.

The Zone has a habit of getting its hopes up about things that have not happened yet. If we get one or both of them, great. If we don't, whoever plays those positions will become public enemy #1 by no fault of their own.

Unless they play well, right?

just because rob ryan coached in oakland before, i don't believe it makes asomugha and huff ran guys. when it comes to free agency, it is still a no-money-no-honey game.

not even jerruh will pay $15 million+ a year for Nmadi

I'm hoping we don't get into a bidding war for Namdi...the media guys covering the draft indicated he'll be pursued by Philly, Dallas, Skins, and he named at least two other teams.

No thanks...let's not blow things up. If he wants to be here, fine, but if he's just taking the largest contract (which is normal), then let someone else give him a huge megacontract.

Then who will. :p: If even Jerry wouldn't do it, then I'm assuming no one else will.

On a serious note, I'm all for Namdi so long as it doesn't preclude from making other more neccessary signings.

Now if we have no cap and Jerry is going all in to take advantage of that...... and what I mean by that is spending a TON of his own money in 2011.

And by own money I'm referring to what easily could be and perhaps in all fairness should be his "profit".

Now if he wants to take $50-$100 million, maybe more of what should be profit over the next few years and excellerate those payments into 2011 compensation for many of our players.......then I could see a Namdi signing that wouldn't kill our salary structure for 2012 and beyond.

We definitely have something with huff already because we didn't even look at safety in the draft. Nmandi I feel is wishful thinking but if it happens we have almost filled all of our needs this offseason

I say you dump Newman and sign Nmadi and pay around 12 mill a season for 3/4 years. You ask Newman to renegotiate his salary to stay with the cowboys.

We still have to sign Doug Free, which won't be cheap and probably a safety such as Weddle or Huff.

SDogo and Hos, have you guys heard anything whatsover from your sources about Dallas' interest in Nnamdi? The Huff thing seems to be well-established.

We are getting Huff. If we don't I will buy Hostile a steak dinner.

Nnamdi not so much. But we'll see with the crazy CBA stuff.

I'm not getting my hopes on that too much but I'd be happy with the addition of either or both of them.

I would like to see them both as Cowboys, but the more realistic one would be Huff. Since we are in a huge need at the Safety position, and even the Cowboys have said it out loud.

I don't think I can stomach paying a 30 year old corner what it will take to pay Nnamdi.

this
no to namdi
yes to huff

newman is not that old and jenkins has the talent
whip their buts into shape and creat pressure from the front 7

I honestly believe Newman and Jenkins can get it done. I just think that Sensabaugh needs to remain solid and we need to get a good to very good FS. Wouldn't hurt to replace Igor either, but I think that a huge payout to the CB position would do more harm than good. If we're left to believe Jenkins is a problem and Newman is the one who gets replaced, they'll just burn Jenkins over and over. I think they're both capable CB's, though and that we just need to get a little more pressure up front and have a better FS out there helping out on the deep routes.

Bad FS play with no pressure = recipe in getting burned for TD's.
