I live in a neighborhood with an HOA. I actually got a notice for my grass being too high. It really was. My yard man had cut it and then it rained and my grass grew like a wildfire. By the time the yard man came, the house look like an abandoned house.

First time in 8 years I ever got a notice like that and it came the same day my grass was cut.

Overall my HOA isn't bad, but then I don't live in an upscale neighbord. Just a working class one where some rules are simply common sense.
