Ehhh...Lance looked TERRIBLE in the 1 game he's gonna play this year. DEFINITELY would go Trask in that scenario. Although, I don't Trask will go in the upper parts of the 1st. But, the rest of your mock looks GREAT. I LOVE TONGA!!!!! A legit NT/1T that doesn't get moved back much. I think we're learning this ear that while size is usually a good factor for a NT (Poe), that doesn't always mean they will excel at the job.

I have read Trask has done a good job grasping Dan Mullens complex offensive playbook. I haven't really watched him this year but know he started off the year real hot.

Still early in the year, but he seems like he can make some noise in being in the top 3-5 QB's this year for the draft.

well that's double up in three positions of need

RASHAWN SLATER
OT Northwestern

Over the course of his first three seasons in the NFL, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has silenced his doubters and has proven to be a much better young player than anyone could have really expected when he was coming out of Wyoming in 2018.

Allen had a strong arm, but just about everyone had serious concerns about his accuracy and no one expected him to have 18 rushing touchdowns at this point and be such a threat in that phase of the game.

Allen has been tremendous, the Bills are built exceptionally well, but they could use some reinforcements on the offensive line, particularly at right tackle.

Rashawn Slater is going to help keep the Bills’ running game going strong and keep Josh Allen protected on that side.

Where exactly are they picking? Trask is a mid-round prospect.

15. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS — QB KYLE TRASK, FLORIDA
He had four big-time throws in a superb 416-yard passing day against Ole Miss.

Pros (+): After having never started a game in high school all the way through the beginning stages of the 2019 season, many questioned his motives and why he played the game if he was only going to continue to be a career backup. The same story came to fruition with the Gators as he sat behind Feleipe Franks, but he stayed the course and his regimen remained the same. When his opportunity presented itself, Trask remained ready and flourished as a redshirt junior. Trask is a well filled out and thickly built QB prospect. A physique that holds true to every bit of what his measurables indicate. Containing a clean and directly over the top release, it enables him to get the ball out quickly and in an efficient manner. In the Florida offense, he’s been allowed to throw from various types of platforms (under-center, shotgun, and pistol). His best throws come in the underneath areas when he’s allowed to attack quickly and on schedule. Right now slants, designed quick patterns off of run-pass options, and back shoulder vertical routes is where he experienced the most success. One of his better traits is eye discipline and manipulation. Trask is excellent with looking off safeties and not giving them a beat as to where he wants to go with the ball. He also has the wherewithal of completely leading defenders astray and giving false impressions of where he wants to attack to only work towards the opposite side of the field.

all the better for us get him i n the 2

but by the time the draft rolls around he will be in the 20's

Assuming a top 3 pick -
Trade down, stack up a ton of draft capital. We tend to draft well and we need to completely rebuild this team if Dak is done.

Thankfully, Dak won't be done.

I still support trading down and hopefully adding a 2nd round pick, giving us 2 1sts and 2 2nds to rebuild the defense and reinforce the o-line.

Mocks, including yours IIRC, had Fromm and Eason in the first round last year too. Trask doesn't have the upside to be a first-round pick.

w hat ever your opinion

I think we have no choice but to go CB or OL............whichever is the higher rated player when our spot comes around. But that's banking on Tyron Smith coming back strong or the pick has to be a LT.

18 Indianapolis Colts: Kyle Trask, QB, Florida
The Colts could draft a quarterback of the future to take over for Philip Rivers in 2022.

Kyle Trask is an accurate passer with a strong arm, but he needs to hasten his decision-making. He was great in the 2020 opener.

CB looks good for us this year. Alot of top end talent. Much better than the top of last years class. IMO the top 3 CB's this year are better than CJ Henderson.

OT, we may miss out. Some really good prospects, but not as deep as last year. If we are out of the top 10, we may not have a legit LT prospect available

Justin Fields is way better than either of those guys.

Please lets not bank on Tyron Smith. Its time to draft his replacement. I would even trade him if I could get ok value for him. We hang on much to long to declining players. We need to admit that we are not "just a player away" and " able to contend for a super bowl". Tear this down, get started on a 3 yr plan to rebuild this roster with an improved culture and focus.
