So, did Davis go through waivers or did he have 4 years of service and became a FA when he got released?
We seem to ignore some positions for years despite them being huge weaknesses year after year.

Agreed

The only way you could play Dak would be to play the entire offense, especially the offensive line. Meaning, you would be risking the entire offense in a game that does not matter.

Even then, the other team isn't playing their starters. What benefit would a high school team get by playing a pop Warner team?

Is see the reasoning in not playing Dak, but the guy needs reps the team can't live by being scared of Injuries.
What good would it do to for Dak to play with a backup OL against a backup D?

Davis could have been useful...but is not a big loss. Basically, the club needs some decent roster support in case Prescott goes down. Its not like the club would win a SB with Davis or any other cast off QB.

According to Broaddus, the Cowboys aren't all that fond of Austin Davis. He even said that before they brought him in for a workout. I'm guessing they were just covering all their bases.

Broaddus he admitted that he was wrong.

I get the impression that he talks to someone in the scouting office and represents that person's opinion as 'they' when talking about the front office. It is either that or he is clueless.
