Yeah, and I was asking you in no direct terms why you started it when it's obvious to anyone who's been awake for the last two weeks that there has been interest in Garrett in Denver and Detroit as a head coach because he interviewed with those teams for that position.

So I ask again. Why is this even a thread?

Honestly, I think it's pretty obvious what the OP meant.

He meant there's been no interest in Garrett beyond his interviews; i.e., he's not making teams' short lists.

teams interview 5-8-sometimes 10 candidates...sometimes only one or two of them make a short list or a re-interview list. Sometimes only one guy gets an offer. Does that mean all the other coaches were lousy?

It's one thing to garnish interest, and another to command being hired. Garrett is a mystery, so teams show "interest" to see what's behind the curtain. Perhpas when they peel it back they see not much is there? Could that be why these teams seem to end up going in another diredtion?

So perhaps the thread should not have been titled as Garrett getting "NO INTEREST"; a better description would have been Garrett getting "NO SERIOUS CONSIDERATION". Either way, It is CLEAR-CUT that Garret's lack of serious consideration WAS the point of the thread, and therefore its existence is warranted.

Did I say he was lousy? I said the OP clearly meant teams don't have an interest in him beyond beyond their interview.

To answer your question, when one guy gets an offer and there's no short list at all, all it means is they had no interest in the other candidates beyond the interview. I don't know where you came up with lousy.
