I actually would have like to see Janikowski in Dallas. Can kickoff and is a outstanding FG kicker, two in one. Makes sense to me.
Agree.
Also, "2 in 1" is how it is supposed to be anyway. We are burning a roster spot by carrying two kickers. If somehow Beuhler could become a real FG kicker...oh well, we can dream.

Prediction, we will have one Kicker in 2010 and his name is David Buehler. Yes, I am saying he will earn the FG duties too.

Let's hope you're right. Hate having to have 2 kickers active on game day roster. Such a waste.

been saying it since Folk became Shankapotamus.

What's really funny is people are acting like Buehler was given a legitimate shot to be our kicker this season.

He never practiced kicking until the faux competition with Folk. He had 4 kicks...that was his opportunity.

I'm not acting like he had a legitimate shot to be the kicker, because I suspected he didn't. Particularly when they brought in and signed Suisham.

I did, however, wonder why they didn't just let him kick since we already had a kicker on the roster and he couldn't possibly be any worse than Folk was when he got the heeby-jeebies.

I'm on opposite sides of the fence. My bet is 2 kickers again.

Let me know what you want to bet on that. I will take that without question. What % of college kickers make it out of the NCAA to be pro starters? This is about the same odds Buehler has of being the FG kicker for the Cowboys next year (I will give him a little more odds because he has the leg to do it, which is different than most). He wasn't selected in the NFL to kick FGs, he was selected to kick-off.

he sucks balls. cant even kick a 50-yarder anymore

He is extremely accurate from 45 yards, which is most kicks. Have Buehler handle the 50 yard variety.

I disagree. I would much rather have 2 kickers that are both contributing to the team than say a 10th OL who is not active the entire season (see joe berger, montrae holland).

So that's the kind of money it takes to keep someone in Oakland? Thought it would be higher.

What a sad state out there.

Declining kicker get mega bucks most of the money is his to keep.....

Apples and oranges...active vs inactive game-day spots
