Agreed- I wouldn’t be upset with a one or two year extension just to get his number reduced this year if it meant they went out and signed a player or two from the last wave of FA…if pollard bounces back from the injury he’s going to get a payday next year so wouldn’t be the worst outcome to get him reasonable for a few years just to protect the bet…but 100 percent don’t do a zeke type deal on a position that churnsGood.
You don't extend RBs. You ride them until the wheels fall off then move on to the next.
some of the most successful teams extend rbs though. Why do yall parrot this garbage nonstop?Good.

Some don't get the shift in position value and the allocation of cap dollars based on the impact...1996 was almost 30 years ago.
The game is different and RBs are a dime a dozen.
You use them up and then move on.
What teams have given big extensions to rbs and been very successful? Not saying don't extend, but it's got to be a safe contract- can't do another zekesome of the most successful teams extend rbs though. Why do yall parrot this garbage nonstop?
They've seen him in OTAsIf he didn't have the injury I wouldn't be against a 2-3 year deal. He was a part time player in college and has never carried the load in the pros either. He should have a lot left.
But the injury scares me off. Show me the same explosion first.
Honestly the injury isn't my concern. If I was gonna extend him it would've been before now. I feel its too late unless its a really friendly deal.Have to wait till we see how he comes back from this injury
Second was a tad bit high but I sure would've did it before the 6th. They seem to want him long term if i'm to go by their actions.Instead of drafting another tight end that we have plenty of I would have used that pick on a quality running back.
Be more prepared in case he didn't come back well from injury and also give us leverage.
Typical contracts would be about 4-5 year deals with the first 2 1/2 years fully guaranteed. That remaining 2 years is easy for the team to pull the plug if his skills diminish.Agreed- I wouldn’t be upset with a one or two year extension just to get his number reduced this year if it meant they went out and signed a player or two from the last wave of FA…if pollard bounces back from the injury he’s going to get a payday next year so wouldn’t be the worst outcome to get him reasonable for a few years just to protect the bet…but 100 percent don’t do a zeke type deal on a position that churns
