Although I believe we are developing some of the best LBers in football. I wish we could found a Wilbur Marshall (Nasty) type.

I understand we did just that and his name is Spencer. :star:

Thats what I was trying to say. Instead of picking up Fasano a possible Lewis trade could have been made with maybe a Skylar Green or EJ Whitely pick thrown in there as well.

You're still acting like you know what Baltimore was looking for in the trade for Lewis.

He hates it because he cannot play well in it.

He needs to be covered, so he can run to the ball.

I fail to see the greatness in the guy?

He is good, but not HOF material.
Dude will be a first ballot HOFer.

Ray Lewis was available for essentially Anthony Fasano and everyone was saying he was washed up and said "No way" (but me of course said yes).

I'd rather have a 'washed up' LB with an attitude from the 'U' than watch Jeremy Stevens own our LB's and secondary.

I'd like to keep players who murdered or were linked to murder off the Cowboys roster.

Actually, I think it was some BS rumor about Ray Lewis/Ed Reed for Greg Ellis/Roy Williams.

I think it was actually they were talking about shopping him for a 3rd

Keith Davis seems to have a knack for getting shot, maybe we should kick him off the team.

Treuth be told, I would rather have had Ray Lewis instead of Bradie James. at least Lewis can read defenses and cover someone. I also think the Cowboys were seriously interested in Porter this offseason and may have gotten him if he didn't sign with the Dolphins so fast.

OK that's someone trying to murder him, not him being the murder so I can be a bit more forgiving to him on that, he just needs to stay outta bad places. But if they did cut KD that wouldn't be any huge loss, big deal, he can't cover anybody either, unless it's a kickoff.

Porter is who I wanted the Cowboys to sign, but I guess Jerry didn't want someone who could actually play.

BTW Porter hasn't been involved in any murders, has he?:D

Or maybe he wanted to draft someone that wasn't on the wrong side of 30.

No doubt Porters got some age, but along with that would come some leadership and a nasty "on field" attitude that those bunch of nice guys need, that would hopefully rub off on them.

That would have, without a doubt, been one of the dumbest thing he could have done -- i.e., select an old player because he's "nasty" instead of a young player with high potential.

I never said anything about Spencer or signing Porter and not drafting Spencer, so not sure what you're talkin' about. Why not have both?

Because it would be absurd to have 3 starting LOLBs. Waste of money and waste of developmental time.

I believe Porter would've been a "waste" that was worth it. If you don't want him on the left, move him around left, right, inside, I'm sure he could handle it, I'd rather have him than Bradie "where's my guy" James, whom we really wasted money on.
