"According to data obtained from the NFL by Darren Rovell of ESPN, the NFL “takes a 25% royalty from the wholesale price (1/2 retail), [and] donates 90% of royalty to American Cancer Society.”

In other words, for every $100 in pink merchandise sold, $12.50 goes to the NFL. Of that, $11.25 goes to the American Cancer Society (ACS) and the NFL keeps the rest. The remaining money is then divided up by the company that makes the merchandise (37.5%) and the company that sells the merchandise (50.0%), which is often the NFL and the individual teams."

So sorry you gullible folks were duped! What's that saying about a sucker being born every minute?

I always thought breast cancer awareness was a worthy cause even before it took the life of my precious mother. I applaud the NFL for doing something right for many years with the pink for a month. I'm glad the NFL has expanded that campaign to other types of cancer and renamed it the "Crucial Catch".
I thought a whole month was a little much considering how the league handles uniform infractions and then they added the camo for November but the players seem to like it and it raises a lot of money

I heard the League is even letting players were unique cleats during warm-ups.... times they are a changin'

I didn't see it as much in the first October games - then again, I haven't been tuning in for pregame stuff.

People are bitter and complain about something that helps raise MORE awareness to a good cause.

I often wonder why people get so upset over something that is for a good cause. It is like they have to be a jerk because others are so supportive of it so they have to rebel against anything that might be considered good or the norm. They want to be so different they act a fool just to prove they are different.

If you have to complain about some players wearing pink to support awareness of a disease...you might just have to examine your life and wonder why you are so bitter about such things.
What a great post Brainy! Very sincere, truthful & heart felt.
@Nav22 seems like you have a lot of hate towards women without the both of you @DallasDomination realizing that breast cancer attacks both genders

Tell you people to knock it off and instead people lose their minds and starting acting foolish. People questioning others intelligence while using the pee wee Herman I know you are but what am I defense.

Page after page of nothing but an internet forum peeing contest. Frankly the majority of you should be getting time off for acting so silly, name calling and personal attacks. But I don't feel like benching so many at one time for acting so childish and stupid.

So you got removed from having g the ability to respond in this thread while I cleaned it up.

Closed thread and don't whine to me in PMs about this poster or that poster because the bulk of you were acting a fool.
