No need for a trade

I feel our 2 biggest needs are WR and DT/NG to help with run game. If that's the case do our best to bring in Suh and OBJ ( hate to have to add OBJ due to the fact he is a guy I never would want on team) but if he can help us win a SB lets do it. We give up no draft capital and we get two very good players in return with veteran experience and Super Bowl winners.

Because those guys want to be paid like their superstars.

They both have rings so they won’t come for just a shot at a ring. OBJ will sign with Green Bay or another contender for more then we paid all of our free agents combined.

The reason you trade for a guy like Mims, Claypool, Brown is they are cheap for 2-3 years

Dont need help are WR. That has been 100% proven.

DT I would not turn down, but its not a desperate need by any stretch. Guard is the biggest weakness for me. But again, trades at this time of year are costly.

I would take Claypool, but not because we need him.

The Cowboys want a more balanced attack, play more 12 personnel where there are only 2 receivers on the field. Lamb/Gallup are fine. Shultz being back should also help the pass game. Let's also not forget Washington will return at some point and they still could use Turpin in the slot.

I wanted Travis Jones in the draft to shore up our NT position, but this season, in my opinion, most big runs are more to the outside. Teams are taking advantage of the Cowboys aggressiveness and scheme. Quinn likes to run all those twists and stunts that take players out of position and he likes to play 3 safeties on the field, which is easier to run against. Bohanna has played well this year up the middle, many big runs have happened to the right side on the outside, not up the middle.

I have no proof of this but I think the Cowboys expect Clark to help against the run at linebacker and they expect Tolbert/Washington to round out their receivers. They appear to have hit on their young tight ends and with Dalton recovering from injury they seem set. I think they believe Tyron will be back by December and they are satisfied with the way the offensive line is playing. I also think Quinn would rather add a big long pass rusher at tackle more then a 1 tech. The Cowboys believe they have a Super Bowl caliber team with Dak back.

Some good points here:

-Think they want to lessen the load of Lve/Barr cause of their injury histories. Rotating in Clark will keep those two fresh and won't ware them down.
-If Tyron does return, which is a big if, the OL would get a massive upgrade as Tyler would move back inside at Guard.
-I agree, Quinn/MM want to create chaos with their pass rush. Think stopping the run is more about executing their scheme then it is from the personnel standpoint this season.

If the Jets are inclined to move Mims for cheap I’d be all over it, although I wouldn’t think he would have much of an impact this season. I just think he is a pretty good WR who need the right situation.

NO trades and no FAs

not now we have Washington coming back, Clarke added soon, and Tyrone eventually coming back. Not sure where an actual NEED is to go spend on a expensive 8 game rental.

we are 4-2 and IMO might be better than our record shows given Daks about to be added back into better team them we were game 1..a WR?? we are pretty set there especially now that daks back and a but more of the passing playbook can be used. Lets stop acting like Rush was getting the most out of our WR group. they hardly threw unless it was necessary, that ON Moore not trusting Rush and keeping games close. it will open up bit more.

It doesn’t help big Bo has been hurt but he’s back this week: He’s been pretty solid as a NT but if there’s an option to trade for a stud I’d do it I just don’t think there is. Suh is not good anymore so not sure why his name keeps popping up.

I’d be open to adding a WR but not sure who’s going to be sellers. Like you said, as long as the OL is playing well and we can run the ball we’re best we can throw out of 12 personnel and mix in some 3 War sets. Noah has shown me enough to feel good about Lamb / Gallup / Brown. Not as good as last year but still good.

Yes, would be more of a 2023 option then helping us out this season.

Good NT's don't grow on trees and teams who have them, tend not to trade them away. Agree, Suh isn't the answer or TB would of kept him.

As for the Wide Receiver position, we haven't see Dak outside of TB with this group. We also have Washington returning at some point. Unless a big time WR comes available like a DJ Moore, there isn't going to be a big upgrade out there over a Noah Brown who has played well this season.

Elijah Moore would be a stud in this O but the Jets are saying no trade.

It's probably a longshot but I wouldn't mind seeing Denzel Mims getting a shot at becoming a WR for us. I think he's about as good as anyone on our current wr corps. He'd also likely be quite affordable, as well.
