We'll get so see Mims play this week. Moore won't be with the team until Monday. I guess they're punishing him.
Jets were 4-13 last season...have equaled that many wins 1/3 into 2022.
Team is 2nd in the division - one game behind Bills, and tied for 2nd best record in the conference.
Player is being a malcontent because the QBs have been spreading the ball around.
Moore is 6th in receptions with 16.
(Other WR has 24, TE - 22, RB and another WR have 19 each, 2nd RB has 18.)

WR - James Washington
OT - Tyron Smith
LB - Damone Clark

Dallas usually sticks to what they have, and with these guys getting healthy at these positions it's tough to see them making a move. I mean what position would they target? They don't value NT, they have a 3rd round pick n Washington at WR they don't want to bail on. It's just seems unlikely.

I was a big fan of DT Travis Jones in the draft.
Side Note: Jones, Tyler Smith and pre-surgery Damone Clark were my favorite players in the draft. Physically Sam Williams was top 5 for me but I was not certain about his character issues.

A DT would not help unless it is a dominant player. No teams are likely to part with a Veta Via type player.

If Suh had much remaining in the tank he would be on a team already.

Same concept with WR. It would need to be a top tier player to really help. Can we get Justin Jefferson for a mid round pick...

I agree that any problems stopping the run have been primarily outside and from snaps when DL were out of position due to stunting because they were playing to rush the passer when the opponent opted to run.

Each time I review stats and game footage, I keep coming back to the Cowboys offense not consistently running the ball and not consistently pass blocking.

In the 2022 game 1 loss and the playoff game vs the Niners, pass blocking was a problem and they only rushed for 71 and 77 yards in those games.

Statistically they win over 90% of Dak's starts if they rush for more than 100 yards. In 2021 they won 100% when they rushed for over 100 yards.

Pass blocking has improved since game 1 but at least one of the INTs vs the Eagles was due to the pass rusher impeding the throw by Rush.

For 2024 RB has to be a target in the draft.

Pollard is a free agent. He is a good player but I don't know if he is consistent enough to be worth a significant contract.

Zeke is far too expensive.
-Saw Travis Jones get a sack against the Giants last week, he looked good. I would of taken Jones and traded up for Sam Williams.
-The run game has been the key for the modern Cowboy team. When they have run the ball well, they have been the most successful. Yr with Murray that lost to GB on the road and Zeke's rookie season. Force teams to fear the run game, load the box will open the passing game. Agree, the running back room needs to be the focus next offseason, with also finishing the OL rebuild.

Tyron has likely already played his last snap for the Cowboys.
Probably right. I think they will be in the market to draft a future Guard/Center to complete the OL rebuild, where Tyler is now the teams starting LT. What are your thoughts of McGovern/Biaz play thus far? Think Steele is proving to be the long-term answer at the other Tackle spot.

Elijah Moore would be a stud in this O but the Jets are saying no trade.
I think if they gave him a chance, Turpin could be a very good WR. He reminds me of D. Jax. They need to expand his role in the passing game same with Pollard.

In theory OBJ would be great, any receiver that is different then what we have now. I want a precise route runner and hopefully speed. If there was ever a year to go all in this would be it. We won't though and we likely won't make it past the divisional due to it. The NFC is wide open, it's full out go time.

I feel our 2 biggest needs are WR and DT/NG to help with run game. If that's the case do our best to bring in Suh and OBJ ( hate to have to add OBJ due to the fact he is a guy I never would want on team) but if he can help us win a SB lets do it. We give up no draft capital and we get two very good players in return with veteran experience and Super Bowl winners.
I need if all you want is a playoff appearance. If you want a ring, you make a trade. Strike when you’re already a contender and let that out yiu over the top.

D j Moore would be nice. Heck, a cooper would be nice. But will dak get ball to him. We had dez. One of the most athletic physical revivers ever. He had one of the widest catch radiuses ever. Dak make him look like trash and he got released. A cooper is and was a top route runner but with a ok catch radius. He was very good but flashed greatness with dak. If dak were 3% better, he’d be d Adams. Nothing short of prime moss or megatron will be enough to shine with dak.

You have no idea at what condition Suh is in and if he can even play.

Assuming you're right about Moore, maybe we'd see what MM can do in his place?!

H-m-m, that might prove interesting. If he's successful, he may have a long-term job.

Cowboys management realize that unspent cap amounts can be moved to the next season.

Lately, you have witnessed the philosophy of buying a Super Bowl by spending future draft picks and contracts that destroy future player retention.

If you could get these two guys and pay them would you be willing to sacrifice the future services of Micah Parsons or Trevon Diggs?

Look at the Rams today. Do they look like a Super bowl team? Do they look like they could win a Super Bowl in the near future?

Not related to free agency, but their ability to replace premium talent has been handicapped. The Lions have their 1st round draft picks for '22 and '23 for those who want to trade for a player.

Roquan Smith...for second rd pick + close to the$$$ he wants; knowing When Micahs time comes it will set the market.. I am ok if diggs walks knowing I have 2 stars at the second level. Next draft grab a lineman then a RB 1 in the 3rd rs. No skill position on offense cept QB1 is irreplaceable for now.

The title of this thread should be no need to win anything.
