The lowest seeded team from the AFC is a four point favorite over the top seeded NFC team? What a kick in the nuts for the NFC.
Go Seattle.

It has nothing to do with seed, and everything on how well the Steelers have played in the playoffs.

Betting lines are useless. Bills were favored by 7 in 1992 against us. Tells you how much the experts know ...

Check the league records against one another. It was pretty even. Seattle stands more of a chance than they're being given.

Pitt's the best 6 seed I can recall. They were 11-5 and 3 of the 5 losses were with Rothlisberger out. They just beat the 1, 2 and 3 seeds in the AFC on the road. Tell me again why they shouldn't be favored?

If teams like Cincy or Jacksonville had made it I think the line would be a lot different.

No, Dallas was favored by 7. Now the media nitwits all thought the Bills would win. I remember NBC asking all of their experts and analysts to predict the winner near the end of their pre-game show. They all picked Buffalo except for Mike Ditka.

The betting line has some relevance to the game but for the most part, the point spreads are all about stirring up gambling activity.

yeah we'll see a lot of backtracking on that when Seattle wins the Super Bowl
