No Nick Folk Bashing

If it came down to a 55-yard game winning fg, I wonder if they'd send Buehler out there instead of Folk.

Unless Folk had the wind I think a 55 yarder would be out of his range. Might as well give Buehler a shot if we really needed it, but I think he has never even attempted a 50 yd+ field goal in college.

I don't know anybody who does that, bu then 90% of the time I don't understand what nonsense you are babbling about anyway. This thread is just another par for the course.

I don't think anyone will bash Nick Folk. Even though he comes up short on kick offs he comes up huge where it counts.

I seem to remember Folk nailing that 53-yard FG against the Bills a couple of years ago. I wouldn't underestimate his leg.

Jerry is too proud of himself for making the decision to keep 2 kickers. He is convincing himself that he is one of the smartest GMs in football again. I hope it works out......;)

Meanwhile, you're trying to convince yourself-- and us-- that you know more about football than he does, or that you know his mind...

Color me dubious... nope, you come off as just another witless Jerry basher... it couldn't POSSIBLY be that Jerry was convinced by Stephen, Wade or Joe DeCamillis that bringing Buehler on board would be a shrewd move, this was all Jerry... no input from anybody else on the staff...

Never mind that we've seen clear signs that Jerry is listening to his people, as seen in the release of TO...

When you have a rigidly preconceived notion, you then have to twist the facts to fit your agenda... you generally wind up looking pretty freakin' stupid when you do...

That's the generic "you", of course... reverting to the specific "you" for a moment, you come off as if Jerry slept with your dog and poisoned your girlfriend...

Every time you think you want to bash this young man think about Buffalo. He may not have the best kickoffs out there but he has ICE water in his veins.

That's the precise moment my man crush started...

And his quote, that if the Bills had called a second time out, he'd have just gone out and made the kick a third time.

After the feat he pulled in Buffalo is there really any question?

Dude, get a grip. I was merely pointing out that Folk isn't going anywhere. Jerry is quite proud of himself over the move. Did you hear the press conference?

That said, how many teams carry two kickers? Of those, how many celebrate it? I wonder if part of Bill Parcells' consternation his last year concerned the utter disaster of Mike Vanderjagt? Its pretty clear "Vandershank" was not his idea and he hated having to keep two kickers on the roster. The kicking situation probably caused Parcells about as much grief during his time as a Cowboy as Romo and TO did.

ummmm...either we carry two kickers or the rookie will be cut because Folk isn't going anywhere.

That's why my hypothetical fg is longer than the Buffalo kick.

Did Romo ever buy him that corvette for saving his ***?

I want that man in a Cowboys uniform!!!

For a long, long time...

Or until he misses a bunch of field goals, whichever comes first... LOL...

What you did is engage in another profoundly idiotic attack on Jerry, acting as if you were the first one to ever come up with that asinine opinion...

Permit me to quote what you said:

He is convincing himself that he is one of the smartest GMs in football again

Now, tell me again how that is "merely pointing out that Folk isn't going anywhere"??

IOW, you went well beyond that point, and I think you know it, so spare me this lame copout...

It's clear that Jerry is just your convenient, designated scapegoat for EVERYTHING... I'll bet your trying to figure out how to blame the tragedy today on him, even though he was at the Kentucky Derby when it happened...

Come to think of it, what the heck was he doing at the Derby when there was a minicamp going on?? Where are his priorities??

I figured I'd beat you to the punch... :D

It is going to be pretty hard to talk bad about a pro bowl kicker. I don't think anyone here would say something bad about him. I mean, he had me when he hit those two kicks in a row at buffalo to win the game. I'm not for carrying two kickers, but I don't think McBriar could do kickoffs, if so, the he should do them and free up the roster spot. At least Buehler is athletic enough to be used elsewhere instead of just on kickoffs.
