The injury bug has been a deadly sniper.

Which two squads would you say was the strongest before preseason?

DE's and CB's, right?

You had two All Pro CB's and Jordan playing the best football of his career,

You had one of the best starting DE tandems in the league, one of them a potential DPOY. Their backups were young, promising 2nd round draft picks.

All gone. Wiped out. The starters are now practice squad level talent. They may get Parsons back in a week or two. The others? Even if they could make it back before the end of the season, will it really matter?

Every three or four years, a series of devastating injuries end the Cowboys season before their bye.

2010

2015

2017

2020

2024?
Yeah but you can extend this to the rest of the league no one can make up for that amount of attrition no amount of planning and big spending and offseason moves could ever make up for this including the trade deadline you can't get enough players that are impactful that are available to make up for this type of losses..

You said stop buying tickets. Did you forget
Yes, but I also said in the same post: "Those who have season tickets are going to sell tickets to fans of the other teams either way, so Jerry already got his money and will get butts in the seats." My point being that he pays attention to all of that. If season ticket holders would fail to renew each year and/or stop selling their game tickets to other teams' fans, then there would be fewer people in the stadium. He pays attention to that. It's not a single prong approach. You made it sound as if I said one economic thing would stop him and that's just not what I said or implied.

Face it fellow fans. The Cowboys are rollin with this personnel and roster for the rest of the year. There will be no trades, no hidden gems, and no resurgence. JJ has made it clear that this year is not a priority. He’s the second biggest snake oil salesman in the USA.
Remember Green Bay. ALL IN.
Who the heck is going to save the team 7 weeks into the season? We have no choice, but to go with the roster we set sail with unless you want to downgrade even more. There aren’t going to be any upgrades available this time of year. No point in trading away a draft pick for a player some team is looking to unload with all the holes we have. Our chance to improve the team was during the off-season but we chose to sit on our hands, watching players leave while other teams were improving their roster with quality free agent signings. All we did was bring back a DC that was given the boot by Jerry 18 years ago and brought back a washed up RB we cut two years ago. Even the dumbest Cowboys fans could see where this season was headed.

I basically said the same thing.

I still think we can take the division. We just have to handle Washington that’s our game. The football gods handle everything after that.

The only chance we have to win the division is if 9-8 is good enough, and we start stringing together some wins and at least split with Washington. If we lose to SF on Sunday Night, we’re pretty much done in my opinion when you look at the remaining schedule we have. I don’t see where this team is going to come up with 6 more wins and 9 wins may not be enough. If the Cowboys are going to change the direction this season is going it has to start this Sunday.

Well, that was my pic 9/8. And I still think we can do it. I’m expecting to come out with attitude against San Francisco. We’ll see if that happens. That’s going to be my barometer also.

If the Cowboys are going to have any prayer of reaching 9 wins it’s going to have to start on Sunday Night. This will be a make or break game in my opinion. The team should be fired up and ready to go on Sunday Night after a bye week stewing over the embarrassment against Detroit. This is a must win or we’re headed for a losing season.

It doesn’t matter who they bring in this year or any other year as long as Dak’s under center.

I am already resigned to rooting for the Lions in the playoffs because they have never been to a super bowl and never been a hateable team in any way so what the heck

I understand injuries. I’m talking about addressing issues from LAST season. No legit DT. Not replacing players that had production like Fowler and Williams who was injured early on.
Watch how much struggle SF has this Sunday night.

I don’t disagree about our lack of acquisitions during the off-season, but there’s nothing we can do about it now other than complain. Like so many others, I’ve lamented the FO not going after Henry and shoring up the positions you mentioned. But it is what it is now.
