Nothing he has to go unless he wants to play for dime bags

McClain is a wildcard but it won't cost much to bring him back next year. I think this season was one of those seasons where he never got untracked and things snowball. He is out and that affects his conditioning, which affects timing, etc.

If he had his head on straight and worked in the offseason, he could be an outstanding player for us next year. He could also get suspended and be a non-factor. I would do all I could to bring him back and surround him with the right coaching, but also be prepared for Hitchens to start in his place if he washed out.

I think with a better offense we can get by with this D (provided we upgrade a lot at DT).this offense needs a complete reboot though, the giants did a complete reboot and so can we.just need Jerry to fire the OC,WR coach and OL coach.

The despair I feel has to do with the rich wannabee GM oil boys that think they can call football shots.

Amen, brother, Amen

this is a game to them...they still make one, no matter what...any publicity is good publicity....I wonder when the last time a 4-8 team was on TV as "The Game of the Week"?..
the Jones' just hear the cash register ringing CHA-CHING!!!

Surprised you didn't hear, read or know what happened to Romo in the Carolina game. Although he had pressure he admitted he wasn't quite physically right due to the short week and just was not seeing the field due to lack of game reps. He got away with it in Miami but really needed a full week as he probably will from here on out.

I agree there's room for optimism due to the draft along with a descent amount of cap space. I am however becoming increasingly concerned over a few things.

The innuendos by people like Aikman that we are predictable (stubborn) on offense and don't seem to take advantage of match ups like we should. I'm not so sure Linehan is completely safe going into next year.

The offensive line has really regressed and Its troubling as to why. I'm not buying it's all Callahan.

No way do I want to go into next year with Cassel.

Special teams have been poor this year.

Great post, but I would add that we have plenty of money for free agents and will likely get a good SS in FA as well. If the top pick is an impact player on Defense, we add a RB, WR and LB in the draft and get Scandrick back you have a much stronger team. Its again a question of your playoff chances depending on your starting QB staying healthy, but that's true for every team in the NFL.

Also seeing Cassell over the last two games, I think he could be perfectly capable filling in for Romo if he has an offseason to develop timing with the WRs and learn every inch of the playbook.

Only thing I disagree with is Cassel. He is a bum.

First it is a lot because of Callahan not being here he is one of the best just look at the job he is doing now and besides all that if you can't see the real problem in Dallas you have to be plain dumb its the GM has not won anything in 20 years since Jimmy left wake up !
