Commander fan here.

I was not pleased you all played so well against the Chargers. To me, the difference between this year's Cowboys and last year's Cowboys is Bledsoe. As I feared, he's far better than Vinnie, and keeps the team moving when Testeverde couldn't. You should be competant on offense and defense, though neither looked particularly spectacular.

Julius Jones is not the second coming of Emmitt Smith. He has his moments, to be sure, but he gets stuffed far too often. Now maybe this is due to the fact that you played against a decent run D. But even last year Jones seemed to need to run the ball 35 times a game to be effective. That's not great.

Still, he's light years better than Hambrick. :)

That third WR of yours scares the heck out of me. What the heck's his name? Crayton? Nice future star you got there.

As far as Monday night goes, well, it's Monday night. It's the Cowboys. Two things that traditionally cause the Commanders to play like crap. If things continue to hold to form, you win this one. I think our D is far, far better than San Diego's. I think your D is not as strong as Chicago's ... not yet. Our offense wasn't great, but we put up over 300 yards on them. We held onto the ball for 10 minutes longer than they did. Our downfield passing game looked a bit better. So I think we'll score more than 9 and you'll score fewer than 28. But beyond that it's tough to say. Week one games are always wacky, and tough to use as a gauge.

One of these days we'll figure out how to beat you guys. I sure wouldn't mind it if that day was Monday. :)

I say BS to that because even though LT ran left at Ware on the first series yesterday and ran right down the field, the rest of the game he didn't get out on Ware.

:hammer:
If I remember correctly, LT had 28 yards on the opening drive. Since he finished with 72, that means that after Ware made adjustments LT gained only 44 yards the rest of the game.

BP will have them focused and will not let them overlook anything in this game. I think the players know they have something to prove. And will take it week to week, one game at a time. No looking ahead.

my thoughts exactly!!!

Dude, we lost to the Lions on MNF in '94 when we were at the height of our powers. Anything can happen. Even that Frisco game is no longer a gimme.

Kinda surprised me to read this about the Deadskins on SportingNews.com,

LaVar Arrington, LB — Washington Commanders Sept. 12, 1:23 p.m.
Although he didn't start, Arrington was featured in many of the defensive packages in Week 1, The Washington Post reports. However, he accumulated just one tackle in the game.
Fantasy Source Spin: He'll play more as the season progresses, but he's not worth starting until he starts putting up numbers representative of his ability.
