No RPO until the end of the game?

The long ball to Tavon Austin worked so we got away from that, Dak running worked last week so we got rid of that, too. We went right back to that ridiculous offense we opened the season with, pure garbage plays with bad players running them. Hard to watch. The only chance this offense has is to run it 50% of time and beat 7-8 men in the box with the running game. Without T-Fred it's not going to happen

The same reason we stopped running with Zeke early and went pass heavy.
We're trying to save them.............for their next team.

Can one of you geniuses on this site explain how they don't run Dak until the fourth? I have a strong feeling this either came from Garrett or Stephen.
They were stacking the box until they went to prevent defense in the 4th.

Bradshaw was hammering Linehan during the post game for his unimaginative offense and playcalling. When an 80 yr old man starts calling you unimaginative, you know there's a problem.

It's so depressing. I keep waiting for someone to emerge as Dak's new security blanket. The tight ends are struggling so they might as well throw Rico out there. Dak was off again, but when he threw good passes, they were dropped. Zeke would've had a monster game if not for the miscues. We might have had a couple of more scores that would've made the difference. And, oh yeah, the offensive line can't block - at all.

Now that the offense is out of the way, let's talk about the defense. The Hot Boyz looked like the Not Boyz out there. Byron Jones looked good, but there were too many busted plays in the secondary. At least LVE looks promising.

Rant over. Didn't mean to hijack this thread. It just so frustrating.

I just don't understand why would you go away from what worked?

The same reason you would give your struggling young QB no solid WR's or even starting quality TE and decide that all the money and draft capital spent in developing a running game and call yourself a running team then go pass heavy instead.

Really? Run Pass Option doesn't involve the QB running? Hmmmm... since when? The RPO gives the QB the choice to hand-off, pass, OR run the ball on a 'keeper.'

In an RPO, the quarterback hands the ball off or throws it. Manning and Brady run them all the time. In a read option, the quarterback either hands the ball off or keeps himself depending on whether or not the defensive ends crashes down.

I’m sure there are versions of the RPO in which the quarterback can run, but it’s not a necessary component.
