No run game = we will not go far in the playoffs

Our run game is terrible. A good run came helps especially on the road. We are TERRIBLE trying to run the ball. We have been terrible almost all season and we did nothing during the season to fix it. The coaching and Jerry Jones failed us. We relying on Dak and Ceedee lamb connection. Good teams stop or limit that and our offense suffers. Michael Gallup was another terrible waste of signing. Its like playing 10 vs 11 when he is out there. He gets zero separation. I would start Tolbert or Turpin over him and demote him. There is no way we can pay someone like him $13,850,000 next season. He brings nothing to our offense.

I can see us getting blown out by the 49ers again if we make it to them in the playoffs. Our offensive line is suspect, we can't run the ball, we struggle stopping physical teams from running the ball and our defense doesn't really make stops. It seems our defense is only good when it can create turnovers. If it doesn't create turnovers it's hard for the defense to actually force a punt.

There's quite a few more reasons than the run game but yes, that is a big one. Also, it's very unlikely we make it to the 49ers

Well, Jerry Jones thought TP was good enough to be the lead back and pay him some serious duckets, with a practice squader backing him up.

No need to draft a RB. You can thank the football maverick Jerry Jones on that one.

Gallup is now the 2023 Zeke Elliot of the Cowboys offense. A slow, drive stopper.

Yeah we need to be able to run and stop the run in the playoffs and especially the elements.

Gallup is gone after this year. He has to be. Miami does have a great run defense though, but it's not an excuse.

Until they fix this oline, we will continue to see the SOS every year. Jerry is just to cheap.

what if the club asks (demand?) Gallup to take a pay cut ?

Vic Fangio did a number on McCarthy by taking away Lamb ...and daring us to throw deep

They dont have 3 yd holes to run from.

Kind of like what we got from Zeke the last couple seasons I'm not sure there is a pay cut option that both parties would be comfortable with.

Messed up thing is I've historically been a big Gallup defender. I just can't do it anymore. He's not the guy who gave us 1100 yards anymore.

Also have to point out KM was an under rated reason for Zekes short comings. He's destroyed Eckler this year.

Was just saying we did no real effort to replace a stud RB we lost. Elliot was not the same player but would still be better than what we have now. Pollard coming off injury and Luepke not used at all. Dowdle is the best we have and JJ won’t let MM start him and let Pollard do his thing later in the game..

i know its said a thousand times but jesus that cooper trade and THEN paying a gimped gallup was horrendous
Well coop could flash in games and actually at times take a game over but then have 2 games in a row where he seems to take himself out of it and have a strange attitude. We should have known a WR like Gallup was not going to be the same after his injury. Both are and were over paid. Lamb has surprised me the way he has stepped up. I figured him to be a good to great slot WR. He will be worth the money. Put Lamb with a young Dez or speedster on the other side and if we keep Gallup put him in the slot.

The lack of run game was evident yesterday when the offense was backed up against their own goal line. You need the run game on the road. Look at the Cowboys team when Murray was the RB and the early zeke years. Those teams were road warriors! Bring back Bill Callahan!

only as a goal line runner. Specialist situational player.

and the way this coach run scheme is, he probably would not be able to get in-thru holes like we see with Pollard
and Dowdle.
