No Running Game

I would say it's more play design. We kept running into into the blitzing side instead of trying to run away from it. Who designs a play where the OG pulls when the defense is blitzing leaving a huge hole for the LB

Thought the same thing on that last drive... You should run away from the blitz, like a toss to the right if you see heavy rush from your left... But when was the last time we finished a year 10th or better in the league in rushing anyway???

Today was about the lines being dominated on both sides of the ball. This had the biggest impact in the game: Romo under duress, no running game, no pass rush on Stafford, etc.

Something seems off about the play calling, especially in regards to when and what type of running play they call.

Also, I don't know that they run the ball enough to need 3 RBs getting carries. RBs need to get into a rhythm running the ball, IMO.

I agree. Averages are largely based on the big breakout run balancing out the multiple short yardage gains. You gotta let a guy get into the game and feel a few hits, get a few decent gains, and get his blood flowing a bit.

I only got to see the second half but I thought Dunbar, on his few carries, looked a little closer to getting those bigger chunks of yards than the other backs.

I think the WRs could benefit from less rotating as well. I think they could get a feel for how the DBs are going to play them and it would allow them to sell a route or set a guy up that much easier. As is, they come in take a couple of snaps and then go to sideline and wait for the next series.

I think the issue is when you have three flawed RBs getting carries you don't want to let any of them get enough carries to let all their flaws be exposed.

Then you shouldn't have 3 flawed backs. For a 3rd or 4th RB on the roster, give me a less capable utility back over a one-trick pony who can't fulfill other roles.
