No surprise. McClain has had like 3-4 chances here. He blew it.

Gregory is only on #2. One more, and he might also find himself locker-less.

The biggest difference between the two knuckleheads is one of them doesn't really care if he plays football. The other seems to one to but has an addiction that he's allowing to stand in his way.

If Gregory can get that addiction under control, he has a spot on this team. If he can't, then he needs to be tossed to the curb as well. We know we can't count on him this year, but we'll find out next year if that's a permanent situation.

Gregory has a mental health issue that. Whether he is an addict or not is irrelevant. He's got problems that go much deeper than being addicted to weed (which is pretty harmless). He's got to get the mental health stuff right. He does that and the week isn't going to be there.

Has Randy Gregory been officially suspended for 10 games yet?

During a broadcast on NFL Network they listed him as 4 game suspension still.

He has not officially been suspended 10 games. All reports that have his name in them still show 4 games

Great question, I was thinking the same the other day. It was reported a while back (as everyone knows) that he was facing an increased suspension, but no official word has ever come down. Did he resolve the issue to the NFLs satisfaction, or are they just biding their time before dropping the hammer further?

Honestly, the NFL should let go of the weed suspensions unless they are going to suspend for alcohol as well. Fine the players but why suspend someone for something that doesn't help performance and is legal in some form in 1/2 the US? It may just keep Randy from losing it and that's why he smokes it. It may be the only thing he has taken that has helped him survive while being Manic-Depressive. Weed is only psychologically addictive. This is not heroin...

Stupidity.

The stupidity lies with the grown men who continually hit the bong knowing that they work for an employer that will suspend their dumb arse if caught.

The NFL policy is actually pretty lenient. Most employers have a zero tolerance policy and will fire your arse after your first failed test.

C'mon....the NFL can't even passively condone the use of marijuana while it remains illegal...it isn't the same as alcohol at all....the policy is so easy to get around that if you get caught you deserve it...

Gregory will get one more shot and maybe he'll turn it around...I wouldn't hold my breath, though.

I still have faith in the guy. Same stuff is happening with Leveon in Pittsburgh. I know he has produced already in the NFL but Gregory was the best pure pass rusher in last year's class. I give him a little more time.

Well.. considering he had to fail the test multiple times to get suspended maybe he really is on about chance 5.

I agree with you completely on Gregory. Though, you have to wonder if a career in the NFL is important enough given the issues he's dealing with. That spotlight, and the ups and downs that come with a team sport. The stress. It might just be not in his best interest to keep going.

Either way, I feel for the dude in a way I don't for most offenders of the policy. He's frying bigger fish, and people should really be more sympathetic about it. It's a bigger deal that just the fact that it disappoints us fans and hurts his teammates.

How so? Marijuana stays in your system for 30 days. The NFL doesn't have to passively condone it, you fine the players but set the harsh suspension punishment for other drugs and PEDs. It's pretty much the same as what the court system does. Many places have decriminalized weed but you still get fined and the penalties for Marijuana possession are less than what you would get for other drugs.

It's just ignorance.
