What gives? The new stadium is beyond words. I loved it. But one thing noticeably missing was the big blue star at mid-field. Will that be added when the regular season starts? Or is what we see is what we get?

I did notice the darker blue endzones that actually match the true blue of the Dallas Cowboys. That was sweet.

Star will be installed before the Giants game according to reports.

Those blue walls behind the endzones with the stars painted on them were beyond cheesy, and in no way resembled the classic Texas Stadium walls, which encircled the entire field.

I noticed that and I hope that was temporary. Did anyone see the Ring of Honor? The stadium is a work in progress.

Ya, starting next year there will be a Texas Stadium silhouette on the Cowboys helmets. Either that or Jerry's face.....:D

I'm sure they are saving the unavailing of the ROH for the 1st Cowboys regular season game. As to why the star wasn't on the field, your guess is as good as mine.

you are crazy if you think jerry is putting his face on the helmets...I was thinking the papa john logo..:laugh2:

Do people honestly think the stadium is 100% done?

The logo was going to have to be removed for the Oklahoma BYU game so it was not installed for this game. Not hard to figure out. Now they just have to change the endzones.

That's great to know. I wonder which plaza the Landry statue will be in.

I'm diggin' the navy blue, though.

The navy blue is AWESOME.
But that wall of repetitive stars around the field (at least on TV) looks horrible.

Now if we can only get that navy blue to be used consistently on the uniforms.

Looked great in Hi Def didn't it? So much better.

Was thinking the same thing.

I too noticed the stars along the wall. They looked like they were silk screened to a dark blue padded wall. Cheaply done. But at least it's safe from opponents spiking/throwing the football directly at them and shattering them like when Mike Flurrey of the Lions did so two seasons ago after scoring a touchdown.

That was embarrassing on national TV.

It was beautiful.

It looks so good and brings its own unique look to the stadium and it has a classic feel to it at the same time.

I hope the Star is dark blue like that too.
