All college players sit with some sort of anxiety, waiting for their dream to hear their names called by a NFL team. They made it to the NFL and sure it really doesn't matter what team that is. They made it.

But if you are a college player wanting to get MORE and seeking to win a Superbowl, you pray when you pick up the phone to hear from
Jerry Jones, " you are a Dallas Cowboy". Right there, you dream of winning a Superbowl is crushed. Now you have to focus on staying healthy so you play out your contract so you can leave Dallas for free agency to get that chance.

Dude come on….players dream of getting drafted and the dollars that come with it…yea they want to win a championship but only 1 of 32 win a year and the avg drafted nfl player is in the league what 4 years?

No one would say no to Dallas or be upset to be drafted by them especially given that Jerry pays his own…silly thread dude

Agreed, I think all of them are thrilled to be playing in the pros. The only ones who can be picky are the quarterback legacy family like the Mannings. :muttley:

Jerry pays his own? Then why did Jerry let so many of "his own" leave and create so many holes that the draft cant even fill them?

So if you are a college player and had the chance to be drafted by Chiefs, 49ers, Eagles, Bills, Ravens, or just about any team other than the Commanders to just get to a conference finals, you choose those team over Dallas. Sure, you will be more popular and that is why players would want to play for Dallas but not to win a Superbowl.

Yes, ALL college player would be thrilled to play in the NFL. No matter of any team, but to think you are going to a Superbowl, playing for Dallas, isn't going to happen. My fellow fans can ripped this and that is fine, but the Commanders and Dallas are the only two teams NOT to play for in the conference finals this entire century.

My god people are soft now a days lol

Imagine working your entire life to be that 1% of people in the world. Imagine going from normal $$$ to a millionaire overnight.

Players have different a mentality than fans. Why? Because they can change it

Look at KJ Osborne’s quote for signing with New England “It’s going to be a grind, and I want to be a person that helps get this organization back to where it needs to be.”

As a young player you would be very happy to be drafted by the Cowboys as part of aplan to expand your brand beyond the field.

Think Micah Parsons and Jaylon Smith as examples. Lots of good and not so good players were able to ride their associations with the Cowboys for economic gain.

Think of a guy like Matthew Slater who just retired from the Patriots with umpteenth ProBowls and multiple SuperBowl rings. What could he do if he had that type of a career while wearing the Star?

I think a lot of young players would be very happy to be drafted by the Cowboys. I also think their agents would be very happy if said young player actually had a good chance to make the roster. The team would be a bit of economic gold mine if you client did well to stay on the roster.

There's no real chance for 25 - 26 teams in the league to go to the SB.

50% of players in the draft are hoping they go to any team in a round that means more $$$$$$. Maybe 8% want to go high in the 1st round so they get more $$$$$$$$$.
The other 42% just want to get drafted so they can make more $$$$$$$$.

That's why they call them professionals because they are making $$$$$$$. Generally the Cowboys gives a player more exposure and that means more $$$$$$. I'd say if you polled a whole draft class most would be happy to be a Cowboy. The SB is not most players ultimate goal, it's making $$$$$$$$$ and maybe being somewhat famous.

Football players don’t think like Zpne regulars.

Dallas Cowboys pick you and you’re thrilled.

You dream of getting drafted. You can get on a SB team at some point in your career.

These guys aren't crying on draft day because they think they are going to a good team.
