Who don't want to play for the Cowboys, Jerry is one of those who will pay for underperformances after their rookie deals.

I’m a Cowboys fan, but if I had a choice to play anywhere, from a purely football experience, I’d want to play in stadiums that bleed football, like Arrowhead or Mile High. The old RFK was insane, with the rocking bleachers.

I think its the opposite. Why not go to a team that will blindly pay you with littel accountability?

All college players sit with some sort of anxiety, waiting for their dream to hear their names called by a NFL team. They made it to the NFL and sure it really doesn't matter what team that is. They made it.

But if you are a college player wanting to get MORE and seeking to win a Superbowl, you pray when you pick up the phone to hear from
Jerry Jones, " you are a Dallas Cowboy". Right there, you dream of winning a Superbowl is crushed. Now you have to focus on staying healthy so you play out your contract so you can leave Dallas for free agency to get that chance.
very unnecessary thread

Or sit out one year and re enter the draft or sit out two drafts and become a free agent and then go play where you choose.

Depends... if you're a Cowboys player, you've got great marketing opportunities.

There are other organizations that are bigger misery destinations, for sure.

As a player, playing for the Cowboys is probably great. It just sucks for the fans.

You are ridiculous to say that. That doesn't happen and if it did happen, then the Cowboys don't need that player, like us good Cowboys fans don't need the OP.

Jerry pays his own? Then why did Jerry let so many of "his own" leave and create so many holes that the draft cant even fill them?

So if you are a college player and had the chance to be drafted by Chiefs, 49ers, Eagles, Bills, Ravens, or just about any team other than the Commanders to just get to a conference finals, you choose those team over Dallas. Sure, you will be more popular and that is why players would want to play for Dallas but not to win a Superbowl.

Yes, ALL college player would be thrilled to play in the NFL. No matter of any team, but to think you are going to a Superbowl, playing for Dallas, isn't going to happen. My fellow fans can ripped this and that is fine, but the Commanders and Dallas are the only two teams NOT to play for in the conference finals this entire century.
This "century" is only a quarter played out, so try harder hitting facts. You can't because your argument is weak. It's a salary-capped sport so on average you can't say Jerry doesn't pay his players as much as players on other teams. The Cowboys have a greater SB-winning history than most teams. @Sully, you're old enough to know better.

Dude come on….players dream of getting drafted and the dollars that come with it…yea they want to win a championship but only 1 of 32 win a year and the avg drafted nfl player is in the league what 4 years?

No one would say no to Dallas or be upset to be drafted by them especially given that Jerry pays his own…silly thread dude
Very silly thread. The dream of winning a Super Bowl isn’t crushed until after they’ve been playing for the Cowboys one or two years.

As if they would be excited about the chances of winning if they got drafted by the Jets, Jags, Cards, Commanders, Giants, Raiders, Browns, Bears etc ...

You act like this is a uniquely Dallas thing, but that's the nature of the draft. Not everyone gets to go to the top Super Bowl contenders, and the reality is there are teams that haven't even been getting to the playoffs much the last decade at all.

If I've learned anything in recent years its that being so far away from the game we are fans of the game, being so close to the game and with social media, etc these players are more like tech workers in silicone valley - they don't give a rats *** if its Google, Apple, Meta, NVDA, etc as long as they get paid and their friends at all these companies want to to work with them.

Fandom is largely left to the fans...thats why it was refreshing in the NBA to hear Anthony Edwards tell everyone basically he hates everyone and has no friends he wants to win.

Those days are gone, never coming back.
ex. Dak ain't going to try to go anyhwhere - his earning potential here is so far greater than anywhere else....sleep number exhibit A.

Nova you've probably got it right. The player's first concern is getting paid and Cowboys money is as good as any teams money.
Like you said, "It just sucks for the fans." And when Jerry says "all in", that means it sucks big time for the fans. LOL
