No true Cowboys fan would ever root for the Eagles tomorrow to win the SB

I don't want a Chiefs three-peat either. This is less about rooting for the Eagles and more about rooting against KC.

The Cowboys have had three decades to get back where Philly is right now. That they haven't done it is their own fault.

I am a Cowboys fan until I die but rooting for the Eagles to prevent the Chiefs from doing something the Cowboys SHOULD have done in the 1990's is my privilege.

I'm a Cowboys fan and don't give a **** if Eagles fans are happy. I like Barkley and don't care for the Chiefs. The Eagles are going to win because of Barkley which is actually good for the Cowboys because we will upgrade running back on our team to compete.
Nothing that happens in that sb will have any effect on what the Cowboys do. Jerry should have improved the rbs on this team last year. Many of us told him too. Instead he brings Zeke back. He's always a year behind the times. Go Chiefs.

I can understand having some Chiefs fatigue. I have some of that, too.

But I can't comprehend actually wanting Philly to win. Not sure what sports fandom even means if you're going to root for your most hated rival with some of the most degenerate fans on Earth to win it all.
If the Commanders were in this Super Bowl they would be the “most hated rival”. In nine or ten hours the game is mercifully over and the off season begins. That’s when all 32 teams are competing for Super Bowl 60.

Sorry, I'm pulling for the Eagles. It's the lesser of two evils and I'm tired of hearing about the Chiefs and their "Swifties".

Also, I'm a Boise State fan, so obviously rooting for Kellen Moore to grab a ring as an OC.

I don't know about root for them but the reality is Jerry Jones has pushed me to a point where I am OK with the Eagles winning.

I want this clown show of an owner embarrassed over and over. I want this dipwad of an owner who claimed that the Eagles would eventually succumb to contracts and cap decisions to see the Eagles win their 2nd SB in 7 seasons. I want this moron of a owner to get more proof that someone in his own division knows how to run a football team and does so in stark contrast to the way he does (and claims is the best way to run a franchise).

So if at 10PM tonight Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni and Saquon Barkley are hoisting a Lombardi trophy, I will be smiling and laughing inside because it's just another repudiation of just what a fraud Jerry Jones is.

Yes. Having our failures magnified by the Eagles sucks!

Well, good then. We deserve the suffering!

Not sure why we are being so pridefully stubborn. Eagles winning is by god our line in the sand!

We are already wallowing what difference does it make now?

I'm a fan of Dallas Cowboys. Have been for more'n 50 years. I am also a fan of...football.

Here in Tampa we of course get the Bucs every Sunday. I've become fond of them over the years. I root for them. Yes it makes me feel happy when they win. Not so happy when they lose.

Watching athletes perform at a high level is very enjoyable to me...any sport (except boxing MMA- a little TOO violent for my taste). I appreciate the mechanics of it, and yes...cheer all of them on a little bit...to amuse me.:)

Dallas will always be first and foremost in my heart, but dang...I need some playoffs jeeze!
Bold> It is both understandable and illustrates any two fans can either be both similar or not the same. I am a Dallas Cowboys fan also. Just reached the 50-year mark myself. Plus, I am an NFL fan.

I have watched tons of non-Cowboys NFL games. Professional football, like college and high school, is fun, competitive entertainment in my opinion. For me, 31 NFL teams are not Dallas, so I do not root for them no matter the circumstance.

I have often gotten the question, "Will you root for another team if Dallas has a playoff berth on the line?" My answer is always the same, as I have noted on the forum many times. I say no and add Dallas should always make their own destiny. It's all gravy if Dallas gets help making the postseason. Luck is a part of life as well but the team's playoff berth will happen without me needing to root for it one little bit.

In my eyes and only in my literal eyes, I am 100% a Cowboys fan. The same is true for how I feel about my high school alma mater in all sports.

That said, I label myself as a half-fan when it comes to college. I do root for both my college alma mater and LSU evenly--except whenever they meet face-to-face in any sport. Then I root for my alma mater 100% :) even though I know LSU will destroy them practically every time.

In the end, it is different strokes for different folks. The thing that tends to grind my gears is whenever someone implies or straight out instructs a fellow fan must root for another team. There is no law or social norm mandating that demand. It is simply a powerless guilt trip empowered by purely unfettered, groupthink nonsense.

Ideally, I'd enjoy seeing this game end in a tie, but, of course, that won't happen.
I'm certainly no football fan of either team -- just sick of seeing them succeed.

I don't care who wins. I feel both teams are deserving. Let's be objective about it. The Eagles are a strong team built to win. All in means something to them. I am not going to take anything away from them because their GM knows what he is doing and ours is on the verge of drooling when he speaks.

The same goes for the Chiefs. They want to win and that is all that matters. Good for them.

I won't feel happy or sad no matter the outcome. But I do think the Eagles are going to win this one. They are just too strong in the trenches and no matter what anyone says, I think that is where championships are won. I believe Jimmy Johnson said the same thing recently.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to say, but I would hate the Eagles just the same if the Cowboys were coming off a Super Bowl win. They have the most detestable fans in North American sports.
