...after that game. He's Dak's security blanket, his Witten. Good things happen when Ferguson is thrown the ball, but the connection with Dak isn't quite there yet. Jerry will override Stephen and bring back Schultz. He won't break that connection up. I hope it won't cost us Pollard.

I just hope Schultz is willing to sign a fair deal and not try and be the highest paid TE

I think they saw something on film that showed them they could use Schultz that way. If you listen to the good Cowboys Content Creators, they call it early last week as well. I don't think that game will change the way they handle Schultz.

They can tag Pollard.

Lol lol after this game yeah ok let's base it off more than this. Maybe he'll be too much for us to afford

No way Shultz gets a big deal here. Hopefully he gets limited interest in FA, but if he gets a big multi year offer we’ll get Ferguson and Hendershot ready.

You might be right but I think they already have shorts replacement in Ferguson

He had a great night, but he is not worth $8 figures/year. The Cowboys need to do everything they can in the draft and free agency to improve their OL and DL. That is where the games are won and lost.

He's a terrible run blocker and doesn't stretch defenses. The other two guys are backups.

The Cowboys dropped the ball when the Lions gave away T.J. Hockenson. We should have been all over that. He's a real top tier TE just getting started in the league. That's a guy you pay not Dalton Schultz.

Re-signing Dalton Schultz would be idiotic.

This is fan boy reaction after a big game.
Agreed. Schultz is a nice player who is making the most of his opportunity, but he seems like the player we are most prepared to replace on the entire roster with Ferguson and Hendershot on the bench.

Been saying, he’ll be the priority resign and Pollard will be franchised long before this game!

Tampa Bay is not a good team. I was happy with the way we played yesterday, especially it being on the road, but we shouldn’t extrapolate too much from it. I don’t think Schultz is worth what he’ll likely get on the market next year.

I like Hock but he’s pretty similar to Shultz..and Ferguson for that matter. It would be nice to replace Shultz with someone more versed in the blocking game.

I think Hankins and Wilson are the true priority FA signings. Agree that Pollard should get franchised.

His tag would be around $10.5 million. That's a chunk of change for a team that has some cap constraints. I would think any plan to tag Pollard involves Elliott getting cut.

They have Hooker and Kearse under contract and have been grooming Mukuamo. Jerry at worst is going to be thinking this team is a player or 2 away. Currently they have a blocking TE and a slow UDFA behind Schultz. That would leave them having TE as a must pick high in the draft and then taking a season to build a repoire with Dak. They’re not going to let Daks security blanket walk away a season after franchising him.. just don’t see it. The Raiders signed Hankins for 1.3m after no one else wanted him. He shouldn’t be that hard to get resigned!
