Noah Brown as a TE

Not sure if that was mentioned before but I do really think that he would be a good TE if utilized in the correct way. He is big, knows how to block and has good hands.

Thoughts?
No, just keep using him the same way.

He creates some mismatch issues. If the defense plays Nickel, the Cowboys run with him as a blocker.

If the defense plays base the Cowboys pass.

Defense are less likely to use an extra DB against a TE but generally will use the extra DB against a WR.

Brown blows up DBs when blocking and he wins a fair share of blocks against LBs.

Brown and Gallup stepping up, and getting Smith back and maybe even Frederick for a few games prior to the post season, and this mediocre offensive team could step things up a notch.

It's great to see Dak stepping up. And doing it with a piecework offensive line that gives a shadow of the protection he had in 2016.

I like his effort -
Got some skills - wish we could figure out a way to use them ...

In the formation where he goes in motion to the right side, we should fake handoff Zeke to the left and hit him on the right with a screen.

He plays quasi H-back. He can play the similar role A. Hernendez played with the Patriots.

Honestly...the one thing I noticed was...when he comes in...we take Cooper out...and it's a dead give away...we are running the football. Sorry Coop...your not coming out for the rest of the year if I'm coaching the team. Hurns would be losing even more snaps...

Novacek was 6’4 and a wiry 235-240. They are not even close to being similar.
Noah Brown is 6-2 and 225. Jay Novacek himself admitted he played under 230 lbs in his best years. Jay was 6-4, I grant you that..... I just think they could use Brown in similar roles that Jay was used...... We need to find some place for Noah, because I doubt if he sees much time at WR, with Cooper and Gallup and Beaz.....jmo. Once last opinion: ;): I think Noah is already a better blocker than Jay was

I actually think they may moving into that direction with how they use. Seems that they are at times lining up him up at a TE spot, or at least very tight. I think there is potential there for him to be an Evan Engram type player.

Will be very interesting to see 1) If they use him more in the passing game the rest of the year 2) What they say about him in the offseason. I could see a decision being made to list him as a TE coming in the offseason

Heard Aikman given him props on a comeback route.

Best he has ever seen.

Maybe there's some potential there for at least a solid depth guy/better.
Keep him at WR though. His blocking is an underrated trait for a WR. Keep that advantage out wide.

Uh....what NFL TE weights 225 pounds?

He has to at least weigh 250 to even be effective.

I want to see more Noah Brown
I want to see them stop bringing him in for cooper and running every time
Like the player but the saints were even pointing to him when he came in
And cooper shouldn’t leave the field except halftime and end of game

Remember my thread last week about wanting to overreact to Noah Browns catch?

Well I guess Aikman felt the same way when he said that was the best comeback route he had ever seen in football.
