Noah Brown

No cutting Dez. Move him to slot, sign a FA receiver, release Twill and start Noah....
The slot WR is playing 57% of the snaps. Should they pay Dez 12.5M for that?

There is no possibility that Dez could handle a reduction in playing time.

The reason they don't play Dez in the slot is that it requires more mental processing than the role they have him playing.

Yeah. Everyone is having a hard time decideing whether it is Dak or Dez. Dak may be ok or he may suck. The jury is still out on that one. But Dez sucks independently of Dak. I have already arrived at that conclusion, personally.

It would take a large volume of consistent evidence for me to change my opinion on Dez. I'm on the fence with Dak. We, as a team, rushed to judgment and threw the baby out with the bath water last year (Romo) to usher in the Dak Era. I thought it was premature then and it sure looks like that's correct based on what we have seen from Dak this year.
Like you, I'm not sure what to believe regarding Dak at this point. Part of the problem, is my eyes believe what they saw in 2016. That was no mirage; Dak played on another level and that was in spite of Zeke. Last year out of all of the QB's in the league, he ranked near the top in terms of completion percentage for balls traveling more than 20 yards. On passes that required touch, he threw with touch. On passes that required zip, he threw lazers.

Now in this year it seems many times he has done the exact opposite. Passes requiring touch, he throws with zip only to see it bounce off his targets hands and into the waiting hands of a defender. On passes that require zip, he throws with touch, affording the opposition an opportunity to jump the route and make a play on the ball. It truly has been baffling. And I don't buy this notion that Dak is RGIII part two or Tebow...I just don't. I believe the testament of my eyes and my eyes tell me Dak was/is a franchise QB. That said, I'd be lying if I said his play of late doesn't have me concerned...it absolutely does. But there is a franchise QB hiding in there somewhere...the Cowboys just need to have the right coaching staff to coax that player back out.

Part of the problem (but not all of the problem) is Dak struggles to throw the ball in tight coverage, regardless of the receiver and Dez struggles to create separation with his route-running, but believes in his ability to win on 50/50 balls. How they bridge that gap is beyond me, but the Cowboys need to figure it out and figure it out before they have to pay Dak.

Like many, I'm leaning towards dealing Dez and see if we can't find someone Dak can click with in the draft or Free Agency. But doing so is obviously risky because the Cowboys would have to deal Dez before having a viable replacement in-house, hoping they'll find one. But that is a risk I'm willing to watch the Cowboys take...come what may....

One reason Dez can't get open is that they quit having him run option routes where he has to "read" the defense and decide which route to run. He had many screw ups doing it when Romo was here but Romo continually coached him on the field before the snap. They couldn't put that coaching responsibility on Dak as a rookie and they did try it this year either.
That actually makes complete sense. Either way, I'm with you and @Verdict...I'm done with Dez and honestly think removing him from this offense very well may be addition by subtraction.

Noah Brown really hasn't had much of a shot. Yes he is thrown in there once in awhile, but not enough to make a decision on him yet. Why not let Brown play this weekend. Give Dez a sideline pass. Or else, put Dez at tight end for the Philly game and give Witten a rest. Let Witten call plays for the Philly game. Tell Lnehan to stay home in Dallas.

If the sideline tv camera evidence doesn't persuade you, them there is no persuading you. Don't worry, we still love you as a person, Dez.
Objection.....from the courtroom....if there ain't audio, my client is innocent.

So would any WR corp with an outdated route tree, poor play caller, and an inaccurate QB.
This!!!!

outdated system that does not move players around with a YOUNG (does not know what play to audible too) inaccurate QB.
