Noah Spence not off the draft board

Did Spence have any issues after he left Ohio State?

While Bosa is solid, Spence is the type of quick twitch, speed rusher the Cowboys need. Would love for the Boys to be able to trade down outta of the 4th spot and get him.

I think we would be better served with someone with more versatility like Bosa. Gregory = Spence (suspension aside).

I thought I remember hearing he did have at least one issue at Eastern Kentucky.....DUI or something like that.

*EDIT* Below is from a Foxsports article:

In May, Spence was arrested on charges of alcohol intoxication and second-degree disorderly conduct. Hood said Spence had tried to throw a bottle towards a trash can. He missed. It shattered and a policeman saw it and wrote the player up. The incident has been expunged and Spence did some community service.

Doesn't sound like a big deal to me.

If Dallas trades back from 4 I've felt all along it would be in hopes of landing either Lawson or Spence.

Makes me wonder how salvageable they think Gregory is. Not exactly what they dreamed of.

Beat me to it. Gregory cannot be relied on, heck, DLAW can[t be relied on either. I don't believe there is such a thing as too many pass rushers.

Top 10 talent. I hope we end up with him somehow

Not a fan of Broaddus, but wonder if he uses anything he hears in the "halls" to make his top 50 list. He said he has Spence at #5. Wonder if the 'Boys view him this high?

I think Spence is far removed from his issues but one never really knows with these players.

Best pure edge rusher, love to get him if indeed his issues are far behind him accordingly.

I wonder what's more coveted/valuable in our D-line: versatility or "bend." Gregory is a pure edge WDE guy. He's way too small to be anything else. Might even be too small to play WDE. Jury's still out. D-Law was drafted to be that WDE type but had success as SDE. A guy like Bosa might be the best all-around D-lineman, but is he what we want? Do we want a guy who can play all 4 spots and be moved around (in that case, Buckner might have value too), or do we want a bunch of edge rushers? Personally, I think you want a mix of everything. We don't have much interior pass rush outside of T. Craw.
