Nobody Has Mentioned the Key Play of the Game

I agree Dooms. I saw a great deal of positive last night.

I have not thought, and still don't think, that we are a 10-6 team this year. I believed us to be a 8-8 or 9-7 team. I there will be a few times we will probably play well but manage to give one away here and there. That's what young teams do. There's really nothing to be done about it, IMO, except to play through it and learn. Eventually, these kinds of loses will turn a young talented defense into a championship calibur defense.

I have no ideal what our record will be at the end of the season but I do see some positive that are being lost in all this hand wringing that is going on right now. I'm disappointed that we lost a game that we have a good chance to win, hate to say it but these things happen and they happen to the best of them. You learn and you move on. As for the young guys I said before the season they would make some big plays and make mistakes as well but I’m just as excited about this team today as I was last week.

The sad thing about last night was that it was NOT the young talent that hurt us.

It was freakin Payton and his conservative playcalling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny thing is that I saw several people praise Payton and BP for letting Payton do the calling when we were winning and now people are turning on Payton. His conservative calling was seen as good until the final 4 minutes ticked off the clock.

People turn so fast around here...

And this isn't directly directed at you PF.. :)

The key play was the 4th and long, and we give up a TD.

I agree, but the fact is he is terrible at punt returns. He is just back there to catch the ball,he runs straight up and down. We wont be winning any games with punt returns with him back there

If the boys bring more then 4 guys those last two series we win. That would of been the key play.

I was upset about the decision to run Thompson into the line and kick the field goal at the time that it happened.

So was many of the fans at the stadium, they actually booed at the time. I did not know if it was Payton or Parcells that made the decision, but I and many others thought it was poor decision at the time.
