You can only cover WR's for so long in this game, particularly the Larry Fitzergald's of the world. And when you give a guy like Skelton, who had a lousy game up to then all of the time in the world, he's likely to find somebody.

And who says we need to blitz? Why can't we rush 4 guys?

Instead, the loser rushes 3...something I knew he was going to do well before they lined up ...and it bit him in the arse again.

He's been coaching for a long, long time and still makes the same dumb mistakes. I think the old definition for insanity is to do keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result. So maybe he's just insane.

Scandrick was out of position and didnt get deep enough. I am not making excuses for him or paul p. But if one guy makes a mental mistake everyone fails.

laufenberg talked about that play a couple of times and put the blame on scandrick and not getting in position and giving up the space for the play.

Whipple gets close look as next UConn coach

Former University of Massachusetts football coach Mark Whipple is under consideration to become the University of Connecticut’s next coach.

Whipple was on the original list of candidates that UConn athletic director Jeff Hathaway compiled when Randy Edsall left for Maryland following the Huskies’ loss to Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl Jan. 1.

According to a Big East official, Hathaway pared his final list to Whipple and former Syracuse coach Paul Pasqualoni, whose last stint was interim defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys.

I think we'll fine with Paul P. It's the players not the coaches folks... The talent on this defense is overrated in certain positions and the secondary is certainly one of them.

If Pasquaolini is the coach we're pretty much done for.

He's more of the Bill PArcells style of defense and we just can't play Zone. Our DB's dont understand that concept at all.

Newman goes from a really good corner to below average the more he plays in zone as well.
I agree the zone is absolutley atrocious!
