Now by the way they are playing now it wasn't an upset. Maybe we were favored. Don't know or care. They are playing good ball right now and I don't want to have to face them again if at all possible.

Hes to focused on the Cowboys to notice anyone elses warts.

Its parity football and our team can beat anyone. That includes the Colts, Saints, Patriots, Vikings, or anyone.

That being said we can be beat by those teams as well.

If you look at teams like the Patriots, you could say the same thing: 7-3 is as bad as they could have done. There are a lot of teams in the NFL this season that the upper class should be able to chalk up as victories. Most of the teams around 7-3 have faced only two to three teams that could be considered playoff contenders.

I thought 8-8 myself going in. Looks like I was wrong, but until the games are played, the record is not determined.

They have played pretty well overall, but they could just as easily lose each of their remaining games as they could win them. This team is just not dominant in any area that will prevent a slide back to mediocrity if lady mo rears her ugly head.

Hopefully the added leadership of Brooking, the outstanding play of Spencer, Ware and Jenkins and improved chemistry can carry this team the rest of the way.

At that point in time, we were playing like a bottom third team. The thread was about the team's current play. It seems pretty obvious that I meant our current play was that of a subpar team. Now, I'm going to assume you're going to come back with another rock solid argument that goes something like "Yeah, I bet that's what you meant...", but truth be told, I don't really care what you think I meant.

Semantics? You said we were a bottom third team. I'm not playing semantics. If you want to claim that you meant something other that what you said, feel free. But it is what you said.

Yeah, lawyers tend to mean what they say and say what they mean. Non-lawyers tend to play pretty loose with their language and not realize what they're saying when they do say it, particularly when they get pretty emotional after a loss, like you tend to do.

Like I said, if you're willing to say that you misspoke at that time, then go right ahead. Maybe that's what you meant, maybe it's not what you meant. I don't have a clue one way or the other. But what you said is what you said. And what you said wasn't that we "were playing LIKE a bottom third team."
