Crayton doesn't sound like Garrett's biggest fan.

If this is true then I'm glad he's gone. We don't need those kinds of locker room distractions.

Yeah, they are not exactly best of buds. Ironically, if you know my history and relationship with former Cowboys WR Coach and current KC Head Coach Todd Haley and his role in the TO saga then this would come as no surprise but Crayton and Haley were really good buds and there was some hostility there when Garrett came in and Haley left town. TO's situation just helped Crayton play on that.

I'm actually kind of surprised Crayton was not moved to KC. If I had to pick one team I thought had the best chance it would of been them.

That was my impression too. Maybe there is something to this.
I found it odd that the rumors came out insinuating that Jerry
was looking to unload Crayton becasue he didn't like him.
When I read that, I thought to myself, why now?

Romo & Roy...what is the issue?

The first person to text Roy to welcome him to the team was TO. Roy immediately gravitated to him. They became kind of tight.

TO and Romo began to deteriorate. it is impossible to deny this. Especially after he felt Tony and Witten were drawing up plays.

Recently Romo made a comment about the guys we have here now do not create divisions in the locker room. I think it was in an interview with Babe that theebs posted. Tony was a little candid for a moment there. It may have been the Jay Glazer video, but I think it was Babe.

Also recently came a report that until this off season Tony hardly talked to Roy much at all. Supposedly from a sideline report with Gina Walker or someone like that.

Why hadn't they talked more? If Romo saw Roy as a TO guy, perhaps he was aloof? Has Roy become a Tony guy and now they are starting to click? They did in Houston. It's just preseason, but they clicked.

Patrick Crayton was one of TOs best friends on the team. Patrick is now gone. Hurd was a TO disciple. There was thoughts he would also be gone. That would be the last of TO's posse.

Miles Austin and TO did not like each other at all. Miles never publicly commented on TO's release. Look at how tight Miles and Tony are. Look at the chemistry.

Ogletree, was never here with TO. No issues with Tony, but having some issues on his own. I think he will put it together again.

Dez, purely going to be a Tony guy.

Witten, already a Tony guy. Phillips too.

Is this what Romo friendly means? That there was no hidden allegiance to TO? Was he that divisive?

Do you remember when Quarterback Coach got to meet Romo in Orlando from a gold tournament before last year? Romo hinted to him that TO was indeed a locker room cancer.

When we played the Bengals, Tony and TO barely acknowledged each other.

Just thought you might be interested. As I said, the source of this is sometimes decent, and sometimes out there. I thought it was very interesting. I shared a bit of it with Reality and it intrigued him so I felt I should share it with you.

In actuality, I'd thought that was where we were gonna ship Hurd to. I think he'd have been a good fit there.

I'm hoping we hang on to Sam now, though.

Just a quick addition because I was asked to clear this up via PM.

Haley took a lot of heat for being a snitch. TO singled him out as one of the people he could not trust. I have know Todd for about 25 years now and he adimitly denies the alligations although he has admitted in a time of rage he said some things he probably should not of.

Crayton's role in this is much of the devils advocate because with out Crayton the situation could of been much worse and salvages what little of the realtionship was there but at the same time Crayton had a big hand in it getting to the point it did.

When Crayton was drafted, Norm went on a rant about how it was a wasted pick, and he had zero chance of even making the practice squad. This brings his idiocy full circle.
 
What you guys are saying makes sense. It almost has to be something off the field and/or chemistry-wise... And if that's what it is, I don't blame the team for getting rid of him. It's quite possible Crayton would be inactive a lot this year, and maybe they thought based on his past history that he couldn't handle that without causing problems in the locker room.

And I have no doubt that Crayton leaks things to the media. It's obvious he's one for Galloway with the way he defends him. That's who he defends the most -- his sources. It has nothing to do with how good the player is on the football field.

And BTW, thanks a lot for the Norm posts, Gossamer. You're great at transcribing these... I can almost hear Norm's quirky voice in my head when I read them.
 
Anyone have the transcript of an interview Crayton did with Galloway? I guess it kind of confirms some of this too.

I also have the audio from Patrick Crayton's agent -- Interviewed about an hour after Patrick on Galloway.

His comments basically fill in the missing pieces -- I'll also post that transcript if anyone's interested....

Thank you, sir. I can't help it -- I love Norm's show.

Love him or hate him, at least he talks sports - and he doesn't hold back.
 
you can start the clock on how long it takes for Dallas to miss Crayton...maybe week 1...maybe week 12...its coming.
