thats all norm ever does anymore. He rants.

We win, he rants

We lose, He rants.

He is awful on the postgame. He obsesses over the most miniscule stuff and routinely has plays mixed up and it seems he watched a different game immediately after the game is over...

I love norm. But he is awful on the postgame and has turned into this whining verison of his former self.

Recap:

Dumb football team. Penalties, stupid penalties, that haven't gone away in years. Its a discipline problem.

Special teams is terrible. Something must be done following this year.

Careless QB. Gunslingers get shot dead on main street (dumb analogy). Ridiculed him for the interception, and how he justified it being a punt. We netted 14 yards on it.

Team should be called the Dallas Resume's. No one has a playoff victory, team full of overhyped losers. Team needs to be told that, Wade fails to humble them.

Questioned how hard they worked, said Baltimore outworks them. Ravens had 18 people on injured received. Mason played with one arm. Rolle was banged up.

Team doesn't discipline itself on penalties, special teams. Doesn't run sharp routes, etc. Norm wondered how many times we've 'thrown up balls' and had our guys to make plays. And how many times we've thrown it up and been intercepted.

Problem is execution. McGahee run was embarrassing, guys got blown off the ball.

Cowboys fans have a reason to be mad. Guys can't get snap count right in week 16. Guys can't run proper routes. Just a sloppy team overall. Focus, discipline, and leadership at QB is all sloppy.

Nothing we haven't heard, but just good to hear someone say it.

Yep he has been saying this for years. Alot of times he is right.

He actually is spot on in most everything he said, but for anyone who listens to him on a daily basis he has been off the reservation for a couple of years now.

A lot of competition in the sports commentary business today, and that leads to a bit of hyperbole on everyone's part. But, Norm doesn't usually say anything about the Cowboys that he won't say to Jerry Jones in person, which is something in his favor, I guess.

He does bring up good points, but I remember after the Philly game earlier this year all he did was complain about the defense.

Norm said something I forgot to add. Was talking about self-discipline, that these guys seem like they don't think they can get any better.

I hate to say it but this is the team that BP needed to coach. He was incredible at getting guys to play past their talent. The 2003 team was a 10-6 team that wasn't going anywhere, but instead of Tony Romo, Barber/Felix/Choice/Owens/Williams. We had Quincy/Hambrick/Antonio Bryant/Richie Anderson (had a great year for us btw).

Funny, these things were all there last year too, even when we were winning, but nobody wanted to hear it. We could stink it up for the first half last year and then come out and blow teams away in the second half. Well, nobody told them that was unacceptable and now that the law of averages has caught up to us, nobody knows what to do.

How were we bad in the first half? Dont we score most of our points in the 2nd qtr? Didnt we do that last year too?

It has something to do with the offense using strategy and setting things up to me.

Should've lost to the Bills and Lions last year. We didn't play that well in the Commanders game either when T.O. went off.

This is a 10-6 team. 13-3 last year just proved to be an exception to BPs rule that you are exactly as good as your record says.

The bigger issue is that Norm is correct.

Er, yes. Funny how those who overpraise the Boys are never accused of "ranting." Only the critics.

I said as much in my second post.

My comments were pertaining to him ranting. Which is all he seems to do anymore.

I like norm alot, I listen to him everyday that I can. But he has been off alot in the past 2 years.

He also is very hypocritical and will basically double talk himself a day after he spent a day ranting about a particluar area.

We all know what this current Dallas team is. All over the board. They can be anything on any sunday, great or bad. WHich speaks to how they are inconsistent, which isnt hard to figure out since they are 6-6 after opening 3-0.

Wadespeak would say we're 4-2 after starting 5-4.

Give me another one of these for what theebs said.

I remember in the mid 90s, I was fairly new to the workforce and bored to tears and I used to thank God that I could flip on 570 KLIF and listen to Norm talk sports for hours on a little radio next to my desk. He was great back then. I don't remember him being nearly so obsessive about meaningless minutiae and always finding the negative in everything. Sometimes listening to him today, you'd think the Rangers were the most successful sports franchise in town, for crying out loud.

Anyway... Please don't tell me he said Baltimore "outworked" us and cited Mason's bum shoulder as a reason. Look at all the banged up guys we have toughing it out right now, from Witten to Hamlin to Keith Davis playing with a 3rd degree MCL sprain. Now that's toughess.

Maybe next year Norm should remember all these negatives BEFORE the season starts, so when we play like an average team he won't be so surprised.

birminghambuckeyes

He is annoying. I live outside the Dallas area so the first time I heard him was in 1995 (the year we beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl). He was a weekly guest on a show in Virginia Beach and all he did was talk about how bad the Cowboys were. He was wrong. He does the same stuff now. If you say something enough you will eventually be right.

Where were you when Parcells quit on us? This same exact team btw with the exception of the rookies this year? Parcells had this same exact team and did no better than Wade. We have the same penalties as well.

As far as Norm is concerned, i'd appreciate this rant and take it for what its worth if he didn't say it before the season is over. He didn't say this in the Giants game. THat's my problem with these "rants". They don't come unless its a loss.
