Norm Hitzges tears Jason Garrett a new one

That's why people have to stop obsessing on the last 25 seconds and instead look at the whole game. It was 60-minutes of bizarre, head-scratching decisions.

There's some merit to that.

It shouldn't have come down to the last minute of the game.

This team had 10 days to prepare for the Cardinals, who really are not a very good team.

Certainly the coaching staff deserves blame.

But the execution by many of the players was abysmal.

For the offense to only score 13 points is very disappointing.

you know when the game ended, i knew every single fan/media outlet would focus solely on the timeout issue at the end and forget about the plethora of management issues in the first half.

 to norm for pointing out the way he handled the two minute warning in the first half.

I thought we came out way too casual on some early, really most of the 1st half, passes. That dang 3rd down and 5, or whatever it was, where we throw a low % pass down the sideline is about to drive me crazy. How about an "easy" quick slant, or pass to a TE? We weren't sharp or focused from the beginning. I will say, AZ has continued, like the Fins have, to play very hard.

Its not a suprise or a revelation by Norm. I've been saying for awhile, while i feel there are a number of things that JG does well as a head coach, he has alot of issues yet with his game management that he still has to learn and figure out. Its to be expected somewhat with a young HC, but you'd still like to see better instinct from a guy like Garrett.

I'm waiting for people to come on here rippping Norm... but Norm is really spot on here...

"botched" is a pretty good word to describe it

The lethargy of that final 1st half drive was infuriating. More points? Nah, we're good.

of course the game shouldn't have come down to the last minute. just like the previous two games shouldn't have come down to the last minute as well.

the issue is this team for whatever reason cannot put down bad teams EARLY in games. come out and score touchdowns on your first two drives, and most bad teams will quit.

instead we stalled in their territory on our first 4 drives, only coming out with 3 pts!

Wow.

I had to close it. Just pisses me off to think about the FG thought process any more.

Seemed more like butt scratching to me. That was it, JG was being distracted the whole game long. Poor guy. Unable to focus on anything except that distracting little itch that he not dare scratch.
---

tongue in cheek humor- don't spaz out over it. :D

Having said that, I enjoyed listening to JG getting ripped. He earned every single word of it, and more. It was absolutely his worse day as a HC. Just awful, and his lack of faith in his own offense was stunning to hear straight from Garrett's own mouth during his presser. Stunning.

norm is hater ;)
norm has been extremely supportive of jason.

The whole offense looked "uninterested" the whole first half. almost like they were saying, "this is the Cards, we are the division leading Dallas Cowboys. somehow we can pull this one out with less that stellar effort or thought process".

I can't get this at work, and I'll listen to it later when I get home, but what was some of the main points he was making about Jason?
