Norm says we should draft a runner with our high first rounder

It's kind of frustrating that we're doing so bad THIS year. If we finish with the #2 overall pick... I can't think of a single can't miss offensive lineman worth taking that high... which IMO is our biggest need.

Our needs:
OG/C - Stefen Wisniewski
OT - Derek Sherrod
S - Deunta Williams
ILB - Quan Sturdivant
CB - Patrick Peterson
DE - Marcell Dareus

Of those, only Patrick Peterson (and maybe Marcell Dareus) is really suited for a top 5 selection, which is likely what we're looking at. If you can't grab Patrick Peterson, I'd do my absolute best to trade down to fill as many needs as possible.

For that matter, then let's all admire the Raiders.. and Seattle.. how about those Rams ? and those Chiefs ? but wait, the Bucs from Tampa could be 5-2 at the end of the day, ahead of the SB champions, and they have less " superstars " than anybody. As a matter of fact, they have NONE...

Uh, I referenced the Miami Dolphins. And the point, in case you didn't get it, is that you can focus on building to strengthen the interior of a team (offensive line and defense line) and with good coaching can do quite well without superstars.

I'm sorry that point somehow stinks you. But you'll live.

RBs just arent that important anymore so yes it is a no brainer that you dont take hime top 5.

addai has one-1000 yards that year but not a top RB by any means

willie parker has 2-1200 and 800 yards and 5 tds both years year

brandon jacobs(4th round) and bradshaw(7th or UDFA cant remember) have rings



you just dont need world beaters at RB anymore or spend top picks on them to find good ones
