I usually always agree with you. Great poster.

But after seeing the dirty play Norman did, I can't really fault Dez for lasing out in any kind of way.
Talk in Commanders is calling Dez an idiot and Norman an "angel". Of course ESPN is putting the onus on Dez totally ignoring what happened in the game.

I'm not sure what football you've been watching, but it happens more than you think....even with the top QBs in the league. And you say Romo rarely if ever? I've seen him miss it quite a bit. Maybe because I've seen a lot of his games, but I've seen him miss wide open players.
I agree every QB miss wide open Wrs it's just part of game and we can guarantee if that play was to develop again in that game rest assured Dak sees him and hits him for a TD. Tony due to his knowledge of defensive coverages on that particular play spots this and hits Dez due to him being more aggressive as a passer and while Dak is under his tutelage he is becoming a more aggressive down field passer. Another thing is if Tony was in the game a lot of those plays Dak got away from due to Tony being shell shocked from injury would've sacked more times.

Yeah...that's fantasy football world. I like real football. The plays Dez made were pivotal in the game. The one Dak missed would have changed the entire narrative.
Exactly SB you saw that play as well Dez straight destroyed Norman on that play from the slot but of course Dak didn't see him it was an easy TD had he saw him.

Poor Anthony has been choked and smacked in the face in two weeks, all with no consequences from the refs.
Yes he has but he really showed that he was a rookie yesterday because Jackson really punked him on that 67yd TD in which he's staring at Cousins for some strange reason only to have Jackson run right by him easily but outside of that he's played as well as you could hope for.

Dak only targeted Norman five times with Dez catching three of those for 32 yards.

Statistically Norman did have a good game against Dez.
Statistically had Dak looked in Dez direction more, he wouldn't have.

Dez gets heated and I think he gets baited a little too easily sometimes, but I couldn't ever see him saying that.

Norman's pride is hurting right now. This is what happens when you talk yourself up so much, when you get beat, the entire world loves watching you fail. That's the way it goes.

But he really didn't get beat. 3 catches for 32 yards isn't exactly much to brag about. Those are Dez's numbers against Norman in the past 3 games. Yeah, there was that one play where he was open deep but Dak didn't see him. Really ain't much to brag about really.

And for the record, not condoning Norman's shenanigans at all. He's proven through his actions this season that he was far less of the victim in that Giants game last year than he pretends. He likes to get under player's skin, and it looks like he got Dez riled up. I think his goal is to start a rivalry with every dominant receiver in the NFC east. Which is exactly why he hasn't done this stuff to Philly lol.

I don't know if I agree with what you're saying. QBs go through a progression. It has nothing to do with Tony's knowledge. I've seen Tony miss wide open receivers down field. And it could be due to Tony went through his reads and either he found something open with a receiver before he got to the wide open receiver...or, when he was at the progression of the wide open receiver, he wasn't open at the time. Knowledge has nothing to do with it.

Agreed. Nothing to crazy numbers wise.

Until you count those oh so SWEET W's.

Of which Dez has two this year to Norman's zero.

So Dez can brag a little bit because of getting the 2-0 in the most important stat from their games.

can't forget about D. Jackson smacking Brown in the face either...Jackson shoulda been ejected for throwing a punch....The refs were horrible in this game...

I don't think Jackson threw a punch, but he should have been given a 15-yard penalty. I found it incredible that a ref who was right in between them, saw Jackson do that and didn't throw a flag. Then again, these were the same refs that missed Beasley getting a facemask.

That's how it's said where I'm from.

He said, she said bs.

There's video of Norman trying to twist Bryant's ankles after a play. All I needed to see to know what type of person Norman is.
And tried to step on his fingers. Norman is a punk. Period.

And you do realize, most top notch QBs don't miss wide open players like that very often, right? This isn't the first time for Dak it has happened countless times this season. Just 3 weeks ago, Dez was wide open in the end zone against the Browns. You have to spot the broken coverage.

Now, I give Dak some leeway on this because he is a rookie and this is something he can improve upon. But do not tell me someone like Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers (In his prime) or even Romo missed broken coverage like that often. What we saw there was the same situation we saw against the Rams in 2014 when no one was around Dez for miles.

It's okay, Daky poo makes mistakes.

Most progressions go deep to short, but Dak seems to pick short first a lot when the situation dictates. I generally have no problem with that as the chains keep moving and we keep scoring.

It's hard to seriously fault a guy doing what he's doing this year. Some of the things Dak is accomplishing are historic, not for a rookie, but for anyone.
