Lets get the wrong out of the way!

* Thought we were a 10-6 or 11-5 playoff team. We came a tad short but not by much

*Thought our Oline would perform better than they did. My second biggest gripe on this team. Dragged our running game down and did not protect Bledsoe.

* There could be a case made Als was missed - that one kills me to write. That said he's still hasta la vista baby!

* I thought Cundiff would step up - he stepped back

I thought we would go 10-6 to. I kinda think if the Skins woulda lost that maybe we might have just gone 10-6 and been in the playoffs.

The OL. When I saw we signed that ancient Marco Rivera I was worried.

I thought Cundiff would step it up. When I made that 56 yarder after he came back I thought he finally was gonna be real good. Wow was I wrong.

The rights on the Norsey!

* Leaving $5M Cap and not addressing FS, OT would bite us in the ***, it did

* We could make the 3-4 transition and all in all pulled it off. One more year of familiarty and Capers or a 3-4 guy installed we can really reap benefits...... I like our Core and we transitioned out front 7.

*Not signing Law was the biggest off season screw up league wide. Scooter man - 10 interceptions. Me things we buy Henry one and a boot to wear all offseason.

Props on this.

I was glad we didnt sign Law at the time cuz he was ancient. But he still has a little left.

The things I was right on were about stickin with T-New and Brady James when so many people in here quit on them. They played very good.

I'll give credit where credit is due. Good post, Nors. Nice to see you address the misses. :) Especially some love for my guy, Al. But, I agree, he is probably gone.

No mention of Shanle though? ;)

I think the 3-4 was OK. I honestly think the defense could have been better with some sort of hybrid scheme that emphasized the strength of the team....the DL. Still would have liked to see Glover doing what he did best teamed up with Ferguson. Glover/Spears/Canty rotating at DT in the nickel. Spears/Ware/Ellis/Canty off the edge in four man fronts as well.

It still needs some work though. I'd say 2 LBers for sure and DL depth if Glover and Ellis don't return. Doesn't leave a lot for addressing the offense.

I agree on Campbell too. Nice vet leader, but doesn't bring a lot to the TE position. Still too many holes to address it early though, I think. LBers and OL.-

FS wasn't great, but I don't think it held this team hostage. Run defense and pass rush were bigger issues IMO.

Kudos for your persistence on Ty Law. I just don't see it though. He was crowing about his Pro Bowl bid at corner. He'll want big bucks at corner again. Represented by Postons. Character concerns, I just can't see him in Dallas. Miami is the front runner IMO for his services next year.

Everyone wants to sell Henry short due to injury, but he played great pre injury and doesn't have an injury history. Plus he is a stand up guy.

Nors...I agree pretty much with your post and grades except for the Law item. Never seen someone be the beneficiary of so many tipped ints in all my life. ;)

Agree that Bledsoe was good but the O-Line let him and us down.

Get ready for the draft and FA!!!

Note to Parcells: Don't draft guys with injury concerns.
Signed, Cowboyszone.

So we shouldn't have drafted Chris Canty? You sure about that?

If Burnett goes on IR next year, I am going to call him a bust. He has a lot to prove, and when you see guys in college with injuries and then ignore them come draft time, you are going to get regret it.
Then you would advise to avoid the Chris Canty, Marcus Spears, Julius Jones, Adrian Peterson, Willis Macgahee, Michael Irvin,..........etc, etc, etc, types???????????????????? A previous history with an ACL does NOT increase your susceptibility. Besides, that's why we have medical evaluations.

I am surprised that Campbell's play has dropped off so much.
He did seem to be providing great leadership and super blocking before his injury. He didn't seem to be near the same force this season.

Burnett tore his ACL? Ah crap :( Anyone know if it's the same ACL that he tore in college?

Y'all remember Jimmy Smith? Drafted by us in the 2nd round? Think he tore both ACL's. We dumped him, but look at him now. Kyle Vanden Bosch tore both his ACL's after being selected in the 2nd round by the Cards a few years ago. They let him go, but look at him now. Jerry Rice had a very quick recovery from his ACL. Just trying to stay optimistic :

When I said change the C+ to an F, I was mainly looking at OL coaching. Anything related to the OL gets an F, although some of that may be the Bledsoe syndrome.
