What a silly name. I can't think off the top of my head who it was but recently some other "celebrity" named her baby Rainbow.

Poor kids.

So I guess it's real.. *sigh* But her nickname will be Nori, which is actually cute.

Tho why Kim signed off on North is beyond me. Too many kids grow up with jacked up names for the sake of their parents art and creativity.

They live in an area where names that seem weird to folks on this board are pretty run of the mill. And honestly, it beats another run of the mill name like Madison or Maya by a country mile.

And really, 20 years ago, you'd never see a kid named Khloe or Aaliyah - in fact, you'd think "gee, those parents don't know how to spell "Chloe" or "Alliyah" properly. Now those are among the 100 most popular girls names based on new social security applications (i.e., names of kids getting born).

Please don't try to justify the use of "North" as a name that might be considered normal to anyone but Kanye and the Kardashians. Not even Hollywood is buying it. There's nothing common, normal, or anything else about it.

I grew up with kids with names like Lion, Bear, and Hazelnut. That was years ago in Hollywood.

Please don't mistake the people that live in an area for what you are reading on Twitter or TMZ or whatever source your "Hollywood" insight is coming from.

It wouldn't sound so silly if the last name wasn't West. I'm not sure they do anything though without thinking of what publicity they can get.

They don't call it Hollyweird for nothing...
