Reeves is the best left corner we have right now. He's able to play the slot and the motion.

If you can find any others corners available right now, who can run a 4.4 and still cover players like Randy Moss [no TD's against Reeves] and S. Moss [no TD's against Reeves], then you should be calling Jerry Jones about it.

Newman is our starting left corner.

Of course we can't find someone better right now. But we'll be drafting one next season. Reeves is fast. But he's jut not a very good corner. It takes more than speed.

we play a zone defense and deep coverage

which is why we gave up a couple of easy 3rd and longs right

Wade's strategy has always been to stop the run. The Cowboys have effectively done that all year. Sometimes a little too well, forcing the other team to just pass. Wash. threw 50 times! Maybe Wade needs to step away from the trees to see the forest. Maybe Wade is asking the safeties and CBs to do a little too much in run support. More in coverage and less in run support. Maybe also use two free safeties (Watkins & Hamlin) and sit(rest) Roy a little.

Lots of people harping on Wade's D but really not that much different than his D in San Diego.

In SD his D gave up 301.6 YPG, 100.8 Rush YPG, 200.8 Pass YPG and 18.9 PPG.
In Dal his D gives up 298 YPG, 86.8 Rush YPG, 211.8 Pass YPG and 21.7 PPG.

Reeves played well enough today...Moss made some terrific catches and he did not allow a td to the guy.
My only wish is that there needs to be a bit more blitzing and less Greg Ellis.

Many of the guys who are slamming Reeves who defend RW week by week.
Reeves had great coverage on the one handed catch.

It’s that 6 DB package that we use that gets on my nerves. The entire middle of the field is wide open...i just hate this package at times. Roy can’t cover and Burnett is an idiot. Leave Bradie and Akin in. San Diego fans saw this too when he coached for them. It was a common complaint about the prevent type defense he likes to use.

So Wade is a defensive genius.... how come then....

1. Wash is down to their 3rd string RT... yet we refuse to flip Ware to that side and instead keep him rushing against Samuels, one of the top LT's in football. Ellis' inability to beat the 3rd string RT only made it worse but Ware should have been over there.

2. Every other team can have their top CB's shadow WR's but Wade apparently does not know how to do so. Reeves on Moss all night made no sense and came close to costing us.

3. At the end of the game when Wash was clearly in pass only mode, Hatcher and Spencer were not on the field, Bowen and Tank were.

4. If he ever blitzes Newman again on 3rd and long, I will lose it.

Farve is going to carve us up like a freaking turkey if we play D like we did tonight. Not being negative, just being realistic.
