No news on maher getting cut as I quickly glance through the news on here and ESPN to see him get cut

gutless staff letting mediocrity be allowed... JJ wouldnt have let him get leave the building last night without telling him to clean his locker

Looks like he gets another week...I’m not surprised...he better be saving his money tho, his days are numbered!

who you going to replace him with exactly? Honestly, he didn't lose the game for us he just officially "lost" the game for us...

As I recall, harbor steward, Maher made his first FG kick. Then a flag flew.

But, yeah, take yer scurvy dog frustrations on a low-paid and convenient pawn.

I am sure coaches Marinade and Garrett, our defensive line, the geniuses Richard and Moore and our secondary and lethargic rich Zeke would back you up.
o_O

Replacing him midseason means little. The bigger question is why did not we not even attempt to address this position in the offseason? In the NFL, so often games are decided by made and missed FGs. Maher proved to be shaky last year. We didn't even attempt to give him any real competition.

How can missing a FG that would've given you a 1 in 500 chance of winnning an OS kick then another 1 in 100 chance of scoring lose the game for you? Maher is not to blame here.

Maher is not to blame for the loss, but is he the guy you want out there attempting kicks that actually matter?

the mob needs a scapegoat..lol

its easy right blame kicker who made the first missed the second IE Iced.. the 55 yarer I dont count.look im all for bettering the team but what ive seen and heard 16 teams wished they and a better kicker, so who are you getting? there arent any super kickers out there.. so Maher is the face of the average kicker.. average to bad kickers are on the street..

draft Blankenship next year from Georgia. WORTH IT in round 3.

But Who are we going to replace him with? How can we find a kicker on the street who makes 50% of his kicks?

theres NO ONE on the trash heap. lol...have to stick with him until the offseason.

He left 6 points on the board in a 10 point loss.

The dude missed both of his two attempts

Is it too much to ask to make one of the damn kicks to give the team a chance? I mean he has one job.

you wanna scapegoat? THIS IS EASY.Rod Marinelli for starters. NOT GONNA EXPLAIN. You all know.

I'm sure there is some untested rookie out there

Maher is a proven liability. At least a rookie has something to prove.

I don't know how we can go into a game with a guy we know we can't trust to hit even the simplest kicks. It's like Russian roulette

its true..your not wrong. But Stevie and Daddy don't care as long as Jerry World keeps selling out and moving merch.

I guess that depends on which clutch kicker is sitting on his couch in October, waiting for his phone to ring.

The time to address this was before the season - at least some legitimate competition.

.....not many options out there to replace him. I think there's a dude on youtube peddling his talents as a kicker.
