Not the same without the fans

Well the alternative is no football at all, so I'll take what I can get.

But yeah.... it did have a different feel to it.
After watching baseball last two months I was actually encouraged.

Maybe when they see last night didnt result in a ton of deaths, we can begin to get back to normal.

Just going to be really odd if the KC game was the exception, maybe collinsworth was being real when he said there was no pumped in crowd noise and if that remains the standard going forward, it’s just going to be strange watching the game with no crowd noice.
Maybe I’m the only one tripping... lol

I felt no difference at all. I think it was noticeable how less they showed the crowd, but overall my viewing wasnt effected.
That's how I felt as well. You heard the crowd on tv. It didn't seem that bad to me. Now when there's no fans for most of the games Sunday that'll be different to see and hear. or lack there of

Yeah im very interested to see how the no fans games go, but ive also been watching no fans at baseball games the last couple months, and I've adapted to that ok.

The lack of fans didn't bother me as much as the "leading up" to the game. I.E. no preseason buildup ect. It will take a few games for me to get going but I will get going because I love football.

..once the season rolls along, more will come out. Its the nature of people and the game. Though, it could have a tipping point.

Watched the Chiefs vs Texans game Thursday night and it confirmed what I imagined, believed that limited fans in the seats and how it would affect my perception.
Its just my perception, and I do not expect anyone else to agree, but I honestly felt less interested because of the lack of fans in the seats.
I enjoyed watching a future star in CEH setting rookie records, that kid is amazing, and Im so thankful that KC is not in our division, our conference..
Just saying, just asking... are you going to watch this season with no fans in the seats and get the same feel for the game?
It felt so strange.

We're pack animals. Part of the experience of sports and concerts is mirroring the emotions of everyone else. No everyone else, no experience.

This may bring back watching football at bars. Or theatres. Or drive ins. You get get tailgating.

With VR and scanning, we'll go as avatars to virtual stadiums. Any VR aficionados out there? I can see that already existing, but don't know if it does.

That’s baseball, not trying to be harsh here, but there is no comparison to NFL fan base.

Agree , but I will have to say that the KC fans are probably my favorite base of fans right now! Well done.

By booing the players on the field in a unity line? ? Well Done? I think KC fans want to give Philly fans a run for their money as being the most classless..

While announcing the game, they said there was no artificial crowd noice, and I believe them.
Is that going to be true with the zero fan games?
Big play, Zeke runs for 35 yds and a score and crickets?
I think for stadiums that are empty they will pump in some crowd noise.

For the players on field I agree. If the networks/stadiums are going to pump artificial crowd noise im not sure it'll change much for viewers though.

Honestly, I've coached scrimmages with about 100 fans and I've coached play off games with about 15,000 in a small stadium and I could never tell the difference. I don't think players and coaches really notice it once the game starts.

Yeah, but it is funny, matey, to hear the play by play sound so dramatic each play: HE PLUNGES FOR ONE YARD ... WHAT A PLAYER!!!!!

You want a hot take? Well I'm gonna give it to you because different opinions is what makes the world go around..

1. Most people at the games are band wagon fans, a large percentage. People that get tickets from co-workers, bosses, giveaways, ETC... So, not seeing those people actually makes me smile... I only care about the play on the field, I'm a strategist... Screw the fake fans, and the small percentage of die hards I feel for you, but then again don't most die hards want to watch the game on a big TV where they can really see things...

Having said that, bring on the games without fans, I could care less..
