Not worried about the run defense today

Not sure we are putting the best personnel on the field to try to stop the run and it isn’t a priority in our scheme. D is focused on stopping the passing game, getting sacks, forcing turnovers and playing bend/not break defense.

today it didn’t look too good but overall it’s been working
But we had wolf man out there. Many on here think he is outstanding against the run.

Considering the top 3 threats in the NFC are Philadelphia (Hurts/Read Option), Vikings (Dalvin) and SF (running is the Shanahans thing) run defense should be a big concern.
Many on here think LVE is outstanding and no problem. Wait till we face decent running teams with good offenses. OMG……there will be a stream of tears here. It is coming, the storm is coming.

Chicago was still running when down by 20 late so a little stat padding, but still our run D should be ashamed after that showing.
Who is to blame? I mention specific players and many say no problem whatsoever. The storm is coming.

I think the CHicago Bears offense has legitimately become good, we just witnessed a retooling of it. They admitted they're basally doing what the Ravens do with Lamar Jackson..which is smart.

Not worried about the run defense after giving up over 200 yards rushing?

Bills gave up 200 yards rushing tonight to Pack. Guess they should tank as they got no shot with such a "pathetic" defense (ranked #1). o_O

While I understand Chicago has a fantastic running offense, one that even gave the great defensive minded Bill Belichick and his defense fits, this run D still is an area of concern.

Better to play soft zone and make them run 13 plays for 10 minutes every drive, then full on “run commit” and give up 2 deep balls on 2 throws and let them back in the game.

The game was over and they ran in garbage time while we protected the lead.

yes, in the future, Hankins, osi, LVE, Wilson (sub lb) need to play the run better. We have time to improve before the playoffs. Hopefully, Hankins is the missing piece to the puzzle.

Again, not worried about today’s garbage time runs…
Garbage time runs? They scored 29 points and got the game within 5 points in the 3rd quarter.

Our run defense is a disaster

Not really.

the bears put 200 on the last three teams they played.

one was bellichek and pats who has some crazy record like 100-5 against rookie and first year qb’s. He lost to the bears last week and gave up 200 yards. He played the jets and their first year qb yesterday and won. Bears caught some teams by surprise and they have no defense.

we won. Not worried about yesterday and long term, there is time and pieces (like clark and Hankins) to fix it .

"Garbage time runs"

They had over 100 yards rushing in the first half.
.....we are going to have some mad when a loss occurs......this needs to be addressed. No Big 12 philosphy (scoring high) will work consistently in the NFL.

Apparently, giving up 200 yds rushing isn't that important. We found out today that you can do that and STILL win by 20
If our offense hadn't been clicking, it would have seemed like a much bigger problem.

I wonder how the Patriots would have fared if it wasn't a wet, slippery game.

OK they put up three touchdowns on the ground. We just scored too damn fast. It would be a different game if we were more balanced ourselves today. Yes we missed Elliott
What is your reasoning behind saying we missed Zeke? No way Zeke scores on some of those Pollard touchdowns.
As far as being balanced, we had 27 pass attempts vs 29 rushing. About balanced as you can get.
