Notes: Even Bryan B. agrees!

I am a multi-layer thinker.

Replace the coach first. If you hire the right guy he's likely going to want a new QB anyway. Any new QB paired with this head coach is just going to result in more middling play.

Exactly, same results with a different name on the jersey. A new QB just gets Garrett more time, but the same underwhelming results.

The epitome of the stupidity and trepidation of this staff is calling the Jordan Lewis jet-sweep in the 4th quarter when Zeke is already a non-factor. Call this play in the FIRST quarter. Then call it again in the 2nd. Those plays make the defense overthink and allows a running game to work. But nope, not this staff. Crickey.

And yet the father and son sitting high in the Star will disagree.

Because they are frauds as football people. That's plainly obvious. You cant take away their business acumen considering they have built the most valuable franchise in all of sports.

But when it comes to actually running the football side of the business, only Jerry's relatives and the few remaining homers around here would try to argue they are good football people.
OMG!! I totally believe the same thing. I used to say they didn't care about winning, I don't believe that but I as long as the franchise, the brand is topping the list then that's all that matters.
This family business is great, the actual football team not so much! The money will roll in no matter what the record is at the end of the season, more people watch the cowboys games than any other team, you watch to win or watch to lose either way they are No #1

Just "throwing one up" in the endzone with no established possesion receiver on this team is absolutely idiotic and asking for a quick path to an L.
Watch any properly coached team and their QB will at least give it a shot in the endzone, and if nobody is open throw it in the stands...second to that, having Bease dominating that drive if we run a play their will expect us to go to him...what better time to hand to Zeke or have Dak go off and run like he has been doing well?

This is ridiculous, how many times do the cowboys team have to suffer because the coaches lack of abilities. Bryan B even stated it.

" As much as I appreciated Jason Garrett going for a fourth down earlier in the game, I was disappointed by the clock management in the final minute. I was watching from our studio, pleading for him to go for the win. Fabian Moreau, the nickel corner for the Commanders, got knocked out of the game"

"What I didn’t understand is, how do you just run two offensive snaps in the final minute of that game?"

Very Poor coaching along with basic play calls will bring us down further, is there anyway to introduce a new playbook? Everyone in the league knows what we are going to run and everyone has found a way to stop us, yet we are doing nothing to change that.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible
As long as JG is our coach, we will always be on the losing side of these type of game because he is not an NFL caliber coach. I am not sure how Jerry thinks he can take us to championship game when he cant even manage clock and play to win. I am almost convinced now that I wont see them win any substantial championship games in my life time now. I am an Alabama alum and thank God for Alabama Football and Nick Saban for salvaging my football seasons for the past decade.

I just saw a whole panel of Superbowl winning coaches criticize a Titans Coach for going for 2 points instead of the tie sending to overtime. I highly doubt they would suddenly think thowing one up in the endzone when it is not there is a good idea when you are in the same position.

Also, realistically... Do you really think we would have time to wait on those routes to develop the way our O-line was playing that whole game and not risk taking a sack moving us out of field goal range?

Could only imagine if Garrett did this and we got a holding call or a sack there... Way worse than he is taking now

With respect, that's exactly what I believe should have happened. With two backup cornerbacks and the propensity to call pass interference in the end zone, it seems like a great strategy.

Great strategy until you take a sack or get "another" holding penalty taking you out of fieldgoal range.

If given a choice to replace the head coach or the QB I would choose the QB and it's not even close.
That’s a close one. Very close. I’d go with Garrett. Dak will play himself out of a job before Garrett will.

Sure, those are possibilities along with an interception in the end zone. It is all about risk management (or, more appropriately, risk tolerance). Personally, I would much rather this team be a bit more aggressive in play calling - taking shots down the field more than the few times they do each game. The conservative approach hasn't garnered many wins.

I think JJ is done with JG's ****. In the last two weeks...he has blatantly denied that they're talking extension, was critical last week, and didn't speak to reporters after the game. Those 3 things are all very un-Jerry

Just another QB they will fail at developing, Romo’s years were wasted with this coaching stafff. Evidenced by the fact he didn’t even trust their play calling and constantly had to audible out to another play. Whether it worked or not isn’t the issue, the fact that he knew before they did their play would result in mass speaks volumes.

In a morbid way, I am looking forward to hearing Broaddus and Mickey go at it on talking cowboys later today
Although I am sure Mickey will do an excellent job trying to manufacture excuses for the coaches.

You can't take away Jerry's business acumen. Stephen was born into it. The only thing he's ever accomplished in his professional life is being Jerry's son.
