Nothing has changed

I never expected a WC birth anyway... too many things had to fall just right.

If the Ravens hold on and win... nothing has changed. For all the marbles in Washington next week.

It's a bit ironic that the Cowboys are exactly where they were last season -- 8-7 heading into a final loser goes home, winner goes the playoffs scenario with a division rival.

They have to win this game IMHO or this season was a failure. I think they will.

So do I, but it will be tough, I don't believe RGIII is king of the NFL but between him and Morris our interior is going to have to be able to stuff the run to pull it off.

I don't have faith that we'll be able to contain Griffin. I am rooting for a win, but I am not expecting it.

I expected an 8-8 season, and it looks like that's what it will be. I was hoping we'd have a chance at the post season, but that doesn't seem likely.

I just hope that Jerry Jones doesn't go into the off season believing that we are a piece or two from winning it all. He's going to blame the injuries on D, the inconsistency on the OL, etc, etc. In the end, we're far from a few pieces. We need some wholesale changes.

I hope our front office takes the off season seriously. Do not draft for backups, do not trade multiple draft picks for a single player. We need help ... lots of it.

It could actually be falling perfectly for the Cowboys today if you believe in the natural ebb and flow of the league where it's hard to go on a long run of wins.

If the Ravens beat the Giants, a Cowboys team coming off a loss faces a Commanders team long overdue to get beat, and had a cupcake opponent this week, with the division title at stake.

I'm just saying. I don't think that's a bad spot for the Cowboys.

There is still a lot of time left in this Giants game.

Interesting how no one in the media around the league ever questions why we start and finish on the road every single year.

It seems absurd that we finish on the road all the time.

Completely agree. Win or it becomes worst case scenario. Keep the same coaches, some of the same worn out players, Jerry saying we are one or 2 players away from success, get a middle of the round draft pick, etc.

Same as last year. Romo needs to put this team on his shoulders and go get that win vs. a horrible defense. He threw for over 400 yards last game, no reason he can't tear them up.

I think we're a lot closer than we've been in a long time, we need help at S,OL and the defensive front 3 the problem is can we fill those holes drafting all 3?

I actually think we have been better on the road this year as well.

Yeah, you never know until the fat lady sings.

However, if the Cowboys do win the division, I don't think they can go deep into the playoffs like Jimmy Johnson said.

Who would have guessed 6 weeks ago that the division winner would be Dallas or Wash? not me

The good thing about next week....not many in the media will give us a chance to win. They will say we get blown out, defense is decimated, Romo chokes, whatever. I like it better when this team has no chance to win a game :)

It's not a bad spot for us, but it would have been better had we won. We left the field in body bags.

The Giants are fading badly, and will be DOA by the end of the day. If there's a hot team, it's the Skins ... 7 in a row. That's no joke. That includes a shellacking of us on Turkey Day.

We will probably miss the playoffs again, and we'll be back to discussing what could have been. Jerry Jones et al will give up more draft picks for THAT player.

Of course... thus the word "if"... but you aren't rooting against that scenario are you?

We couldn't stop Brees and we almost won the game with a fumble inside our 5 yard line, it can't be worse vs RGIII and the Skins.
If we don't make big mistakes we should win that game, Romo is playing lights out, maybe I am a little biased but I wouldn't want any other QB under center next week.

Yes nothing has changed, we still cant run the ball or play effective defense and the entire team is on the shoulders of Tony Romo.

The intangibles are definitely there - however - I am seriously concerned that our injuries, like they did today, will catch up with us.

We'll see...

We were also playing soft zone in the second half with a huge lead.

Unfortunately, we WILL make some big mistakes next week. It's part of the game. The Skins torched us on Turkey Day. I'm expecting much of the same.

Romo is magic ... but he can't win it by himself.
