Nothing has changed

Unfortunately, we WILL make some big mistakes next week. It's part of the game. The Skins torched us on Turkey Day. I'm expecting much of the same.

Romo is magic ... but he can't win it by himself.

Then why watch, see you next year.

If this scenario does play out, you can't have a bigger end of season game. The stadium in Washington will be ROCKING. It will be a huge game.

I don't have faith that we'll be able to contain Griffin. I am rooting for a win, but I am not expecting it.

I expected an 8-8 season, and it looks like that's what it will be. I was hoping we'd have a chance at the post season, but that doesn't seem likely.

I just hope that Jerry Jones doesn't go into the off season believing that we are a piece or two from winning it all. He's going to blame the injuries on D, the inconsistency on the OL, etc, etc. In the end, we're far from a few pieces. We need some wholesale changes.

I hope our front office takes the off season seriously. Do not draft for backups, do no.\t trade multiple draft picks for a single player. We need help ... lots of it.

....nothing to disagree with in it at all. I DO think going .500 like we're about to again really sets us back as JJ will indeed think we're close. We were close to making the playoffs, not winning once we were there. Seahawks, 49ers, Packers are all clearly better and it could be argued that the Commanders, Bears and Giants are all slightly better: this team isn't close to a super bowl at all IMO.

I said 7-9 before the season and we're going 8-8 after loss to the griffskins next week. OUr defense is decimated by injuries and JJ wants to believe SO badly that he will once again try to make a big splash and go for window dressing again. Jenkins will be gone, so they'll take another CB, probably take another WR with Austin fading: he dropped FOUR balls today for god sakes. They'll also mistakenly consider a QB, and RB as well.

In NO way, shape or form do I expect themm to adequately address the oline: they truly believe they can win with these guys. They probably will draft a DT because Brent will be gone next season, but really a Free Agent is needed on the interior: probably two as Coleman will be gone too. Just a lot of needs and as usual JJ is clueless to them. How can you address real needs for your team when the ''GM'' teats the team like his fantasy league? :bang2:

I can see some 1989 magic coming our way. The D.C. local Cowboy fans will go out and support them. We usually play well there (injuries withstanding) and this team plays better on the road anyways. Who is to say RGIII playing in the spotlights will not choke to America's team for all the marbles? He is a rookie after all.

All I can say at this point in time is....

At least my Christmas isn't ruined, we have a chance!

If we limit the turnovers and keep RG3 in the pocket, we can definitely win the game. The soft defense we play would actually give RG3 nowhere to go so I think it'll be on the offense to just play the way they can.

We were also playing soft zone in the second half with a huge lead.

Yes, I do realize that. With that said, Romo missed a lot of throws in the first and second half of that game from being nervous or whatever. Washington's line was not getting to him and their coverage was not very good either. Once he got comfortable, Washington had a hard time slowing him down...

There is no reason Tony can't show up early and often against Washington. Nothing is special about their defense.

It could actually be falling perfectly for the Cowboys today if you believe in the natural ebb and flow of the league where it's hard to go on a long run of wins.

If the Ravens beat the Giants, a Cowboys team coming off a loss faces a Commanders team long overdue to get beat, and had a cupcake opponent this week, with the division title at stake.

I'm just saying. I don't think that's a bad spot for the Cowboys.

....where you're going with this but....I just don't see it. Colossal shame we are so banged up on D'. We'd have 10 wins easy if Lee and Carter were still healthy IMO.(Brees abused us in middle of field and so will RG3)

More than that if you add Rat, Coleman and Church to the mix. The worst has been WAre being so compromised....he's beat all to pieces. Those six guys 100% healthy would have allowed us to run away with this division but as we know, it's very rare for many teams to go 16 games in this league without lots of injuries anymore. Skins, Seahags and 49ers' are all relatively healthy: especially compared to Dallas.:bang2:

not only that but it was 7-3 Skins and the Cowboys were marching down the field when Dez fumbled. Cowboys play a clean game, they could have won that game and next week's..

I would rather play RGIII than Brees and it's not even close. No comparison between the two at this point of their careers.

It's a bit ironic that the Cowboys are exactly where they were last season -- 8-7 heading into a final loser goes home, winner goes the playoffs scenario with a division rival.

They have to win this game IMHO or this season was a failure. I think they will.

But hey just think we get the coach back along with the running game and the game changing defense. But we do have to look forward to getting in some retread offensive linemen that JJ will swear he got a hell of a deal. The cowboys just cant win when it matters. Next week will be the same....losers.

Ok we win we make it to the playoffs...what team out there do you think we can beat in the opening round being lit up by brees and all today.

We'll worry about that when we get there. I prefer seeing the Cowboys in a playoff game at home. I'm funny that way.

Agree. I like the odds of this team NOT losing two in a row.

I am not convinced we can beat anyone, but I stated earlier in another thread that we can possibly beat SF. That game will be in Dallas (assuming SEA takes the division) and they are beatable on the road. If SF takes the division, it will most likely be SEA coming to Dallas, we can beat them too.

Bottom line is..we would get the 4th seed at home for the first round. Even Chi is beatable, they are not playing like they were early in the season. The one team I would hate to face is Minn, AP would destroy us.

If Dallas was to get past the first round, then we will get creamed whoever they play next.

I'm excited about next week. Should be fun. Go Cowboys!

I like our odds. ;)

I don't not with this defense that's riddled with injuries. Ware isn't healthy and hasn't played well in weeks. RG3 can kill you with the pass and his ability to run we saw that first hand on Thanksgiving. Washington has an excellent rookie back who put up over 100 yards on the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. A hostile crowd on the road in a do or die game with a defense that just got destroyed equals big trouble for the Cowboys.

This team has lost 2 in a row twice this season and will be facing a hot Washington team that's won 6 straight.

It 'll be a good one, but I don't think this is the same Cowboy team that last lost their 2nd straight game on November 4.

Yeah, you never know until the fat lady sings.

However, if the Cowboys do win the division, I don't think they can go deep into the playoffs like Jimmy Johnson said.

Even one playoff win could go a long way for the teams confidence. This teams overall attitude is going thru a makeover and a taste of playoff victory could help a lot.

........that shredded our D' on turkey day? I don't think this will even be close. Carter and Ware were healthy that game: we are decimated at LB and Safety: we are done.
