I know most are disappointed in that loss but let's take into consideration the Cowboys were playing in the toughest house in the league in Patriots' conditions against the #1 D in the league and need I remind you of what usually happens when the #1 O meets the #1 D? Why are the Niners and Pats on top?

They have a 1.5 game lead over the Eagles, who looked exactly as I thought they would yesterday against a SEA team not playing their best game. As they usually don't traveling east and playing the early game.

Now, if you are one of those that think this Cowboys team is in the top tier of the NFC, that's on you. They're a tier 2 team but they're one of the better ones and should win a home playoff game and could win a division game if they catch the right match up.

Well, actually, one thing has changed with the GM calling into question the coaching, talk about late to the party. There is a very good reason why the smart GM's don't grant interviews after a tough loss and you got to see and hear exactly why. Once again, the players are off the hook, the coaches lost that game.

The Cowboys control their own destiny and stop this hand wringing over the rest of the schedule, it's all right there in front of them for the taking. If they can't handle BUF, CHI, LAR and PHL then why would you care about them in the playoffs? Think they'd handle SF, SEA, NO, GB or MIN if they can't take care of business over the next 4 games?

The best thing that can happen for this team and it's season is a must win game in PHL to take the East. They're going to have to prove it on the road and I can't think of a better place to see that happen than in that city with those fans and a win or go home playoff type game.

One of the benefits of that game yesterday was a rehearsal for rough conditions in hostile stadiums in CHI and PHL, both game s they will probably have to win to win the East.

The team was outcoached by the best in the game with the one of the two best D's in the game, by design. They left nothing in the locker room and do have legit questions about those two tripping calls and while I am sure they're disappointed, there's no quit in them. They're going to come back strong with a short rest and take care of business on Turkey Day and send the Bills home with discarded wing bones.

Same GM - check
Same CEO - check
Same HC - check

Only the third one will ever really change. The top two will always be in Jerry's bloodline.

It’s getting to the point that they have to win out. JG has got to get these players ready to play Thursday. Those tripping calls yesterday was some of the worst officiating I have seen. At some point the NFL has to do something.

Just like the rehearsal in Minnesota right? This coach just doesnt get it, never has, never will. Buffalo might come in to town and expedite Garrett's departure to New Yawk

I would like to think Garrett at this point has to at least make it to the NFC championship with a solid showing to save his hide. Jerry sent a message through the media that the continuous blunders are unacceptable. One thing I have thought was it a message more to appease the fan base or is he really tired of the blunders. I didn’t expect Garrett to be fired today but I’d like to think he needs to be told to get a stranglehold on the special teams. Jerry likes to meddle so meddle and do something in regards to the special teams.

and you're still the same, I caught up with you yesterday. moving game to game, no one standing in your way...……………………...the great bob seeger. make the move, jerry. time for check mate.

You could look at this game as no big deal because Philly lost and we still control our own destiny. It is fair enough when you look at it simply from the perspective of we can win our division.

I think the issue for me and possibly others, is we lost another game against a good team that was very winnable and we did it in a way that highlighted glaring issues that we have seen before.

Regardless of last night, I suggested our special teams improvement would be important moving forward in close games and what do we do? Blocked punt. Two penalties on fourth down that give away something like 20 yards in a game where the weather was going to make field position even more important.

We could go back and forth about the field goal at the end versus going for it and some other calls that were questionable but the point here is its bigger then just losing a game to an AFC opponent. We lost this game that yea maybe wouldnt have mattered so much if we got the job done against other teams we should have beat.

If we are looking at this from just this game and we lose by 4 yea I guess there are some good things and some things that could be worse but my problem is this team has shown they can win the division and make the playoffs. The issues they have though dont go away over time and when we do have to play in a game where it's do or die, do you wanna go into it knowing we cant correct simple things that have haunted us before?

We are still in a place to win the division and believe me, I'm happy with every playoff appearance we can get but watching us constantly lose games we are capable of winning just doesn't get any easier.

I hardly enjoy the commentary regardless of the game but Aikman was adamant last night in his critiquing of the game that we had coaching issues and to me, a coach and his staff being called out like that by a guy like Aikman isnt a good look. Not for Garrett who has had this team for a decade or whatever it's been at this point. He also said there are no moral victories and he is right. This was a team that was supposed to be in these games and win some of them and we lost again. He said we had one good win against Philly and If we look back it is really the only win we've had that was big.

Vikings, Packers, Patriots, Saints... 4 good teams with playoff hopes that we could see again at some point... we lost every one of those games.

You lose games against good teams in this league, it happens. The problem is we do it too often and it's becoming the normal this season. Cant be successful and not beat good teams at even half the time.

I dont know what happens the rest of the way but something tells me we will be looking back at the same problems at the end of the season that showed themselves early.

Oh my God....these posts! These “rational” posts are just cathartic nonsense. Some of you people need a shrink. This team sucks...accept it!

Are you saying it's bag time? Surly not.

Did anyone really think we were going to win? Vegas had us losing. We've never beaten Brady. NE has won 23 consecutive games at home. We haven't won any game against an opponent with a winning record thus far.

We were expected to lose. We did. Move on.

I will accept that when the time comes but a team leading it's division doesn't suck. Not as good as the tier 1 teams but they don't suck...except based on some fans' expectations.

All off season, I kept seeing how this D was going to be special, Richard was the D guru and every young player was going to improve and I never bought into that. But, this is not a bad team, it is a good team, just not as good as several others in the NFC.

I did. I really did. It's a week to week league and I thought we had a good chance looking at the match ups.

But..........we made more mistakes than they did. And it cost us our chance.

Booooo.

So you're saying we stood a chance?

No argument here at all. What is so amusing about the backlash is that everyone trashes the HC and the fact the Cowboys can't beat the winning teams and when that shows itself again, they get up in arms….all over again......and again.

Were they expecting a HC that they have no respect for to all of the sudden step up and prove them wrong against that HC in his own lair and conditions he'd hoped for? That was Belichick's perfect storm and the reason they usually go to the Big Dance when they have homefield.

I predicted the Cowboys would win but I didn't anticipate the weather being like that. I thought a little rain but that was different.
