Dak, Linehan, Garrett, Jerry, the defense, the line....so many fans acting like today’s game proved something. Wrong! It proves nothing.

Whatever one wants to say about any player or coach, good or bad, there is evidence this season to support it, but today’s game proves nothing.

The Cowboys dig themselves an almost insurmountable hole at 3-5 at the halfway mark of the season. They literally played backs to the wall and won five straight games to essentially win the division and make the playoffs, where whatever your mantra is will be proven. But a team, no matter what the coach does or the players say, cannot match that intensity and focus week after week in the NFL.

The Cowboys players had a natural letdown while the Colts were still a desperate team. The worst tackling all year, blown assignments, dropped passes, penalties on both sides of the ball that were just careless.

I don’t even think playing without Martin, Frederick, and Sua FILO made much difference. The players had a letdown, and it was to be expected.

The Cowboys will easily win the division and proceed to the playoffs. Look there for your evidence to support your theories.....because it will be on display with no excuses.

I hope the staff learned something
The one consistent this season has been our struggles in the red zone
Today’s loss really means nothing
The fact we continue to struggle in the red zone means everything
Marching up and down the field won’t mean much in the playoffs if reach drive ends in a FG attempt

Sure there is. I learned I was right about this team and these coaches before they sucked me back in winning 5 in a row. We learned today that they are still capable of being the same team that went 3-5 on any given Sunday. We learned they are not the team that just won 5 in a row. That was a hot streak which is now over.

Totally predictable loss.. In fact, i called it on the way to the game. And yet overreaction city here -- it's ridiculous. We didn't show up. Just like I thought would happen. Really hard to get a team to focus against a good team when they got nothing to play for, basically. In fact, I'm glad we lost. If we win, we got two games with nothing to play for. Now, we get focused, win, then get a rest before the big games.

It's hard to win several games in a row. One reason, we were the last team in the League to have won multiple games in a row. I hope this was a hiccup game and they can move on to clinching a playoff spot. Resting on your laurels doesn't get you anything or anywhere. I hope this young team has learned that.

Our staff will rinse repeat and try harder.

They always blame execution and they coach with their ego.

I’d be shocked if Linehan stays after this season.

This team doesn't win when it doesn't care.....and it didn't care today

On any given Sunday anyone can beat anyone and the Colts had desperation working in their favor. On to the Bucs....

So ... we should ignore this Grecian drama? I had high hopes for the Greek chorus audition.

Great freaking post! 100% correct

You might be the devil ...

Pulling us back in.
Drama on the midway. Cotton candy, pink lemonade and chips!
See the bearded lady (like me mum, heh) see the anteater boy!
Step up!
Dak will lead us!

Agree.

I even posted it before the game.

I have a good feel for how this team will play and if we as fans aren’t excited for a game then most likely the players aren’t up for it either.

The loss is one thing. I agree it’s hard to be balls out every week. The thing that is most concerning are the season long red zone issues and the fact that they got shutout. That is bad. I don’t care how you spin it.

And NO is still capable of crapping the bed on any given Sunday as they did a few weeks ago. That’s the NFL.

Burn the tape and move on to Tampa.
Get to work on something different in the red zone
That’s the big issue
This loss is ugly but in the great scheme of things it’s trivial
Fix the red zone and we might actual win in the playoffs
Don’t get it fixed and getting in is a feel good exercise
