Nothing to be learned from today’s game

The loss is one thing. I agree it’s hard to be balls out every week. The thing that is most concerning are the season long red zone issues and the fact that they got shutout. That is bad. I don’t care how you spin it.
I agree. A blocked FG is on the players. A dropped TD on a perfectly designed play is on the players. Everything snowballed from there, but Indy was clearly the more physical team. We didn’t even notice our LBs today because they were getting blown up.

Defense has played like garbage for 5 quarters straight now.

LVE has hit the rookie wall.

Oline is a mess.

Dak is..well, Dak.

We haven't clinched anything

They aren't promised a win next week. Got to take care of business when you have the opportunity
Yea but Bucs have nothing to play for. And we’re at home trying to prevent a total collapse opportunity in week 17.

I’m about ready to say it’s a lock against Tampa.

Whatever one wants to say about any player or coach, good or bad, there is evidence this season to support it, but today’s game proves nothing.

Dead.

Wrong.

It actually says a lot about this team. It basically says they are mentally weak and allow themselves to get content.

Losing a game is one thing. Getting shut down, shut out and dominated in every phase of the game when you had something at stake is another.

Had Dallas won today, I might have bought they were a contender.

Instead, they are exactly what I thought they were.

It just goes to show you that it doesn't pay to be positive about this team. They will inevitably make you look stupid for doing so.

Dak, Linehan, Garrett, Jerry, the defense, the line....so many fans acting like today’s game proved something. Wrong! It proves nothing.

The Cowboys dig themselves an almost insurmountable hole at 3-5 at the halfway mark of the season. They literally played backs to the wall and won five straight games to essentially win the division and make the playoffs, where whatever your mantra is will be proven. But a team, no matter what the coach does or the players say, cannot match that intensity and focus week after week in the NFL.

The Cowboys players had a natural letdown while the Colts were still a desperate team. The worst tackling all year, blown assignments, dropped passes, penalties on both sides of the ball that were just careless.

I don’t even think playing without Martin, Frederick, and Sua FILO made much difference. The players had a letdown, and it was to be expected.

The Cowboys will easily win the division and proceed to the playoffs. Look there for your evidence to support your theories.....because it will be on display with no excuses.
True its one of those shake your head and shrug games where nothing at all went right..just watch film and practice the dangredzone scoring all week..

And most likely a total meaningless loss that should have been more expected.

I want Tampas A game..seriously we cant gauge our team playing a team giving no effort..i hope they treat it like their SB..they can move the ball and score..check the stats, they huck deep balls on a regular basis.. this isn't cake walk..

I concur. Beating the Saints gave a lot of fans the notion that this team is really good, as has the 5 game win streak. I still believed this team was average at best after watching the last 5 games.

An L would be a normal loss. Not a shut out.

'Mentally weak'? Whenever I see a post like this, the one thing I know for sure is that the poster never played football beyond Pop Warner (but probably not even that).

They had nothing at stake. A chance to clinch, but the loss meant nada. The Colts, otoh, were playing for their playoff life.

It was a bad game. Period. They'll bounce back and be fine.

Sure there is. I learned I was right about this team and these coaches before they sucked me back in winning 5 in a row. We learned today that they are still capable of being the same team that went 3-5 on any given Sunday. We learned they are not the team that just won 5 in a row. That was a hot streak which is now over.

its an L thats it..sometimes it just unravels but still it counts as aloss, just one..so you'd be less made if it were 23-10 23-17 I men does it matter at all? maybe if you are emotional but the Colts loss to the jags 6-0 was shut out they recovered.. lmao.we destroyed the Jags..and that W was just aW and this loss is just an L..let that sink in... I know we were embarrassed, it happens...its the first game this season where we were out of it..

One thing can be learned from that. You can’t take any games, situations or teams for granted. They have to fight the full 10 rounds, with no rounds off to win.

They had nothing at stake. A chance to clinch

That is the whole point. They did not bother to get up and even try to get a win because, well, they could just let someone else do it for them.

Well, the Commanders did not lose.

The Eagles don't look like they will either.

Now, you have to go out again next Sunday.

Maybe the Buccaneers decide just like the Colts that they want it more?

Will it matter then?

This was their chance to make things easier for themselves.

They chose otherwise.
