Nothing wrong with signing low cost veterans

My concern, is that in Jerry's mind it makes him think that he is doing something significant in free agency, when he's not.
I assume Jerry self medicates on not being able to be laughed at by other GMs by his refusal to sign good vets.

He thinks it's other people's trash they let go, if he signs them and they suck...he is vulnerable to be laughed at by his peers.

So, since he isn't trying to win anyway...he just doesn't do it and removes the vulnerability.

He would rather lean on McClay
