While the Cardinals are at the top of the West, I don't think they win just based on that. I still the Eagles are better than the Cardinals, as we are, too. They got destroyed by Denver. Now I hope the Eagles lose but I don't know.

And Seattle on the road is a complete 180 from when they play in Seattle. If we can go into Seattle and dominate, I don't see why the Eagles can't beat them in Philly. West coast teams always have trouble when they go cross country and play on the east coast.

Seattle is still a good team even away from home. Rams were lucky to beat them and Sherman really did recover that fumble in the end. Blown call.

Seattle on the road is not completely different team. They are still solid team with a good defense and will give the Eagles a run for their money. Its all based on opinion but I think the Seahawks will beat the Eagles because they are more physical and likes to run the ball. Something that the Eagles are weak at is good defensive teams that run the ball.

The Cardinals have given up 20 points or less in all 5 of the games they have won, so they certainly can't be taken lightly. Payton Manning did put 41 on them, though, so Tony will want to watch that game in the film room.

I'm going to cop out and say I'm "cautiously optimistic" about the Eagles.

I agree with you. There is a reason why there on top of their division. They play good defense and thats something that the Eagles don't like is a good defense.

No Seattle is not the same type of team on the road. They looked very mediocre against San Diego in the second game. They feed off that crowd. You will not see them like they did yesterday get down 21-3 at home. In my eyes, they are the most dependent on home field in the playoffs to have success. It's their comfort zone.

Will just have to agree to disagree.

Did you actually watch the Rams game? Rams won that game thru special teams and a bit of trickery on their part. They also got help from the refs. Seattle beat them on both defense and offense side of the ball. Don't think for a second that the Seahawks will be that easy to beat even away from home when their at Philly. They are still a solid team nonetheless and won't be caught off guard like they did with the Rams.

Eagles will beat most of those teams tbh. Green Bay is the only real contender there besides us. Maybe Cardinals but unlikely.

No one could be happier than me about the boys but Philly is a difficult matchup for us. Not making predictions one way or the other. Just saying I suspect a high scoring game; which may benefit them more since we run more.

I"m all for taking each opponent seriously, but I actually like the matchup for us with PHI quite a bit. I was worried about it last year, but we handle screens and those stretch plays to running backs really well right now with this group of LBs. Now that they don't have Desean anymore, they don't have anyone to take the top off the defense. Their TE game isn't all that intimidating, and Foles has moved predictably back to the back. Defensively, that wide-9 is not a good matchup with our running game, and we've got the OT play to set the edge. They won't get push up the middle on us, so they're going to have to rely on bringing pressure. We'll run on them all day, and can probably beat their run-blitzes. We've also not really seen it yet this year, but we've got the capability of doing damage with our ST, too, which will help offset their strong ST play.

I liked the Giants matchup for us a lot less, actually, with that GB short quick passing game, but the Giants just don't have much talent on the field right now.

And that Commanders matchup....nah, I can't say it with a straight face. Colt McCoy is starting, and they have RGIII-and-thirteen and Cousins sitting on the bench. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I know we're playing them this week, and anything can happen, so I should keep quiet, but, I'm sorry HAhHHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! Commanders. Ha! What a bunch of IDIOTS! Ah. That felt good. The best thing about it is, even if they jump up and get us somehow this weekend, it doesn't really matter, because we're still contenders and they're still the punchline of the NFCE. It'll have zero bearing on the outcome of the season since we still have the Eagles coming up twice. There's nothing to keep us from just mocking them and mocking them and then, probably, embarrassing them in Dallas in a few days. I can't wait.

The next 8 games for the Eagle are brutal and I can see them lose a few of those games.

I think they will lose to the Cardinals, Packers, Seahawks and to us twice.

They'll be in the playoffs with a record of 11-5 or 10-6 as a wildcard.

Then will probably beat them again come playoffs.

This is the scenario that I see coming up with the Eagles. In the meantime were hitting the easy part of our schedule with a lot of momentum. All we have to do is keep winning the games which were supposed to win. Then we make it into the playoffs as the top seed.

Of course anything can happen this season and things can go for the worst. But I like our chances then the Eagles right now. In my opinion, I don't think the Eagles can sustain their winning percentage due to their schedule and Sproles being injured.

Think the eagles lose to the Cards and the packers. But i see them winning the other 3

Eagles have looked like crap in most of their wins. Even against the Jags down 17-0 at halftime. I agree, their decline begins this week against the Cards. I say in the next 4 weeks against the Cards/Texans/Panthers/Packers they go 2-2 at best. The only game I'm even a little concerned for us in the next 4 weeks is vs the Cards, and I still think we should beat them at home. It's time to start pulling away from Phily, and it begins week 8.

Yes I see the same exact thing as you do. Not having Desean Jackson with the Eagles is a big deal for their offense and they don't have anyone to stretch the field. I'm a little worried about their TEs but I sure by then we'll have Carter back and would be able to man the middle against their TEs. We really missed Carter against the Giants and thats why I believe he makes a difference in the lineup defending those passes in the middle.

As for their defense their wide 9 will get exposed against the run. They have to go against some physical run oriented teams such as the Texans, Cardinals and the Seahawks and us both times which doesn't seem to favor their defense. So I think my assessment is fairly reasonable that they will start to slide starting with the Cards.

Sure its too early to count those two games against them as wins. But the odds of us winning both games is pretty good if we just run the ball and do what we do best.

I count that as impressive even if its last year. In fact, who has the Eagles beat that was impressive?

If we are counting victories last year, Dallas.

They beat SD and SF with their back up QB and were only down to Denver 24-20 going into the 4th quarter and had to finish the game with their 3rd string rookie at QB. They are legit and much better than Philly.

None of that makes them legitimate and Palmer being back doesn't seem to improve them. Apart from the D they are hardly lighting the world on fire. I think Philly rolls them.

Far enough. We can agree to disagree.

But the Eagles victory over us last year was not really that impressive. We were not as good of a team as we are this year. Plus we didn't have Romo. We were nothing more than an 8-8 team. Cardinals beat the world champs in their own house in Seattle. Not an easy thing to do mind you.

My prediction is were going to beat the Eagles twice this year in the regular season and again in the playoffs.

I think the Cowboys are a better team but I'm not gonna say the Eagles are gonna be like two games behind us when we play in week 13. Packers game is the only sure loss in my mind.

For the sake of argument, lets say they lose to Arizona and Green Bay and beat everybody else up to our Thanksgiving Day game. We got the Skins, Cards, Jags, bye, and the Giants again. Lets say we lose to either Arizona or the Giants in the rematch, we still enter Thanksgiving with a 1 game lead. If we beat Philly at home, we go up 2 games with 4 to play and the Eagles return home to play the Seahawks while we get the sorry arse Bears who have lost every home game this season.

That should put us up 2 games with 3 to play and even if we then lose the rematch with Philly, we are still 1 game up with 2 to play.

The main things that have to happen:
1. We have to beat the teams we are favored to beat with only 1 upset loss before Thanksgiving.
2. Philly has to lose the games they are underdogs in, mainly @Arizona, @Green Bay, and @Dallas
3. We have to beat Philly at least once.
4. We have to win at least 1 of our last 2 games, which are Indy at home and @washington.
5. Philly has to lose to Seattle
